Abstract
쌍안정 강유전성 액정 디스플레이 장치를 제공한다. 상기 장치는 제1기판과 이 제1기판에 대향된 제2기판을 포함하며, 이들 기판들이 그 사이에 배치된 불화 꼬리 부분을 갖는 화합물을 포함하는 강유전성 액정 혼합물의 비-나선형 정렬을 제공하도록, 또한 하나 또는 다수의 화소(pixel)를 정하는 전극들이 상기 기관들 상에 제공되도록 배치되며, 상기 전극 항유 제1기판이 그 위에 지방족 폴리아미드 또는 폴리에스테르 정렬 코팅물을 가지며, 상기 전극 함유 제2기판이 그 위에 오가노실세스퀴옥산 증합체 코팅물을 가지며, 다만 상기 기판들중 적어도 하나의 기판이 투명하다. 또한, 정렬된 강유전성 액정 디스플레이 장치를 제공하기 위한 방법을 제공한다.

Claims (6)
- 제1기판과 이 제1기판에 대향된 제2기판을 포함하며, 이들 기판들이 그 사이에 배치된 불화 꼬리 부분을 갖는 화합물을 포함하는 강유전성 액정 혼합물의 비-나선형 정렬을 제공하도록, 또한 하나 또는 다수의 화소(pixel)를 정하는 전극들이 상기 기판들 상에 제공되도록 배치되며, 상기 전극 함유 제1기판이 그 위에 지방족폴리아미드 또는 폴리에스테르 정렬 코팅물을 가지며, 상기 전극 함유 제2기판이 그위에 오가노실세스퀴옥산 중 합체 코팅물을 가지며, 다만 상기 기판들중 적어도 하나의 기판이 투명한, 쌍안정 강유전성 액정 디스플레이 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 폴리아미드 코팅물이 나일론인 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 폴리에스테르 코팅물이 폴리(에틸렌 테레프탈레이트), 폴리(부틸렌 테레프탈레이트) 또는 폴리(헥실렌 테레프탈레이트)인 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 오가노실세스퀴옥산 중합체가 수소원자, C1내지 C4알킬그룹, 페닐 그룹, 치환된 페닐 그룹 또는 비닐 그룹중에서 선택되는 펜던트 잔기 및 하이드록시, 메톡시, 에톡시 또는 클로로 그룹중에서 선택된 작용기 또는 이들의 혼합 그룹을 갖는 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제1기판 및 상기 제2기판이 모두가 투명한 장치.
- 1) 하나 이상의 전극을 항유한 제1기판을 지방족 폴리아미드 또는 폴리에스테르 물질 용액으로 코팅하고,2) 상기 코팅된 제1기판을 경화시키고, 3) 상기 코팅물을 문질러 상기 폴리마이드 또는 폴러에스테르를 정렬시키고,4) 하나 이상의 전극을 함유하는 제2기판을 오가노실세스퀴옥산 중합체 용액으로 코팅하고, 5) 상기 코팅된 제2기판을 경화시키고, 6) 코팅면을 갖는 상기 기판들을 대향 위치로 놓아, 강유전성 액정 물질을 상기 코팅된 기판들 사이에 놓을 때 상기 액정 물질의 비-나선헝 정렬을 제공하도록 배치하고,7) 그렇게 배치된 기판들을 고정함을 포함하고, 상기 기판들중 적어도 하나의 기판이 투명한, 정렬된 강유전성 액정 디스플레이 장치를 제공하는 방법.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임
