Claims (2)

  1. 통상의 액정물질과, 다음 구조식(Ⅰ)의 화합물 하나이상을 함유한 다색염료로 이루어진 용액으로 된, 부-주 액정 장치에 적합한 물질.
    상기 구조식에서
    X및 Y중 하나는 OH, 다른 하나는 NHR이고
    R은 H 또는 저급알킬이고
    R1및 R2는 각각 독립적으로 알킬. 아릴, 아르알킬, 알콕시 또는-NR3R4이고
    R3및 R4는 각각 독립적으로 H 또는 저급알킬이고 단 R2는 항상 OH 그룹에 근접해야한다.
  2. 두가지의 전기 절연성기질(이중 적어도 하나는 광학적으로 투명함); 기질 내부표면상의 전극, 및 전극과 기질사이에 함유된 절연성 물질막으로 이루어진 액정 전기-광학 장치에 있어서 상기 절연성물질이 특허청구범위 1의 물질임을 특징으로 하는 액정 전기-광학장치.
