Abstract

비디오 신호를 향상시키기 위한 방법 및 회로가 기술되어 있다. 본 방법 및 회로를 방송단에서 부가된 감마 보상을 무효화하는데 이용되어 공간 광 변조기 디스플레이를 사용하는 음극선 관 신호를 개선한다. 그밖에, 본 발명 및 회로를 컴퓨터 모니터용 디스플레이 또는 감마 무효화를 필요치 않는 다른 형태에 사용되어 일반적으로 화질을 향상시킨다.

제1도는 신호 향상 방법의 플로우 챠트, 제2도는 3색 분리 신호 향상 회로의 예를 도시한 도면, 제3도는 적응 제어 신호 향상 회로의 예를 도시한 도면.

Claims (11)

  1. 방송 신호를 향상시키는 방법에 있어서, a. 입력 디지탈 워드를 제공하는 단계, b 메모리 테이블내의 상기 디지탈 워드를 룩 업하는 단계, c. 상기 입력 신호보다 작은 수의 비트를 갖는 출력 신호를 상기 입력 신호에 대응하여 선택하는 단계, d. 상기 출력 신호를 공간 광 변조기 어레이에 전송하는 단계, e. 상기 신호를 상기 어레이상에 로드하는 단계, 및 f. 상기 신호를 디스플레이하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 제공 단계가 3색 입력 신호 각각에 전용인 3개의 아날로그-디지탈 변환기의 사용을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 룩 업 단계가 상기 메모리 테이블의 외부에 있는 제어회로에 의해 지시되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 공간 광 변조기 어레이가 변형가능 미러 장치 어레이로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 공간 광 변조기 어레이가 액정 셀 어레이로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  6. 방송 신호를 향상시키기 위한 회로에 있어서, a. 상기 신호를 수신하여 이를 디지탈 워드로 디지탈화하기 위한 적어도 하나의 아날로그-디지탈 변환기, b. 제2디지탈 워드에 대응하는 상기 디지탈 워드의 맵핑을 포함하고, 상기 아날로그-디지탈 변환기와 전기 접속 되어 있는 하나 이상의 메모리룩 업 테이블, c. 상기 제2 디지탈 워드를 수신할 수 있고 상기 아날로그-디지탈 변환기와 접속된 어드레싱 회로, 및 d. 상기 제2 디지탈 워드를 디스플레이할 수 있고 상기 어드레싱 회로에 접속된 공간 광 변조기 어레이를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 하나의 아날로그-디지탈 변환기가 3개의 아날로그-디지탈 변환기를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  8. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 메모리 룩 업 테이블의 하나의 1K x 8EPROM내에 내장되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  9. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 각각의 아날로그-디지탈 변환기가 전용 메모리 룩 업테이블에 전기적으로 접속되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  10. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 공간 광 변조기 어레이는 변형가능 미러 셀들로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  11. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 공간 광 변조기 어레이는 액정 셀들로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
