제1도는 요오드화물-촉진 모듐으로 촉매되는, 메탄올의 아세트산으로의 카르보닐화를 위해 사용될 수 있는 대표적인 반응 및 아세트산 회수 시스템이다. 제2도는 본 발명의 방법을 나타낸다.

Claims (4)

  1. 메탄올, 디메틸 에테르, 또는 아세트산 메틸로 구성되는 군중 하나 이상의 화합물을 아세트산으로 카르보닐화하는 방법으로서, 이때, (1) 상기의 메탄올, 디메틸 에테르, 또는 아세트산 메틸은 Ⅷ족 금속 카르보닐화 촉매 및 요오드화 메틸을 함유하는 반응매질에서 카르보닐화시키고, (2) 상기 카르보닐화의 생성물을 아세트산, 미반응된 디메틸 에테르 또는 아세트산 메틸, 요오드화 메틸, 알칸 및 카르보닐 불순물을 함유하는 휘발상 및, 상기 Ⅷ족 금속 촉매를 포함하는 덜 휘발상으로 분리시키고, (3) 상기 휘발상을 증류시켜 아세트산 및, 미반응 메탄올, 디메틸 에테르 또는 아세트산 메틸, 요오드화 메틸, 알칸 및 카르보닐 불순물을 함유하는 오버헤드를 얻고, (4) 부가적으로 상기 오버헤드를 보다 휘발성인 성분과 덜 휘발성인 성분으로 분리하는 방법에 있어서, (a) 휘발성 성분을 환류컬럼에서 환류시킴으로써 상기 분리를 수행하고, (b) 상기 환류컬럼에서 환류비 약 0.5 내지 약 5를 제공하고, (c) 부가적인 처리를 위해 휘발성 부분을 제거하고, (d) 물의 첨가에 의해서 잔류물을 두 층으로 분리하고, (e) 수성층을 반응기로 재순환시킴을 개선점으로하는 방법.
  2. 제 1항에 있어서, 부가되는 물은 아세트산 정제의 건조컬럼으로부터 제거된 물로서 얻는 방법.
  3. 제 2항에 있어서, 건조컬럼으로부터의 물은 부가적으로 첨가되는 물로서 사용되기 전에 그로부터 유기성분을 스트리핑하여 정제되는 방법.
  4. 제 1항에 있어서, 환류비는 약 1 내지 약 3인 방법.
