Claims (6)
- 질코늄과 하프늄의 사염화물을 마그네슘으로 환원시키고 생성된 금속을 증류시키는 것으로 구성된 질코늄과 하프늄의 제조공정에 있어서, 염화 마그네슘을 라이너와 용기와 라이너간의 유체교환을 제공하는 최소한 하나의 저부배출구를 갖는 환원-증류 혼합용기내에 가득채울 정도로, 내부 라이너에는 상기 저부배출구의 윗부분까지 첨가하여 상기 염화마그네슘이 내부라이너로부터 마그네슘이 유출되지 않도록 봉합을 제공하도록 하고; 마그네슘을 내부라이너에 유입시키고; 염화나트륨, 염화칼슘, 염화 알루미늄과 염화리튬중 최소한 하나를 함유하는 용융염 배스를 제조하고; 사염화 질코늄 또는 사염화 하프늄을 상기 용융염 배스에 공급하고 주기적으로 상기용융 배스를 교반하고; 상기 용융염 배스로부터 사염화 질코늄 또는 사염화 하프늄 증기를 채집하고 상기 증기를 내부 라이너에 공급하여 마그네슘과 사염화 질코늄 또는 사염화하프늄과 반응시켜 산출된 질코늄 또는 하프늄 금속은 상기 내부라이너에 채집하고 또한 용융된 염화마그네슘도 산출하고; 주기적으로 상기 용기로부터 용융된 염화 마그네슘의 일부를 배출시키는 데 라이너 저부 배출구 위까지 만큼의 양은 용기내에 남겨둔뒤; 사염화물의 공급을 중단하고; 상기 용기로부터 배출이 가능한 모든 염화마그네슘을 실질적으로 배출하고; 상기금속으로부터 잔류된 마그네슘과 염화마그네슘을 제거하기 위해 상기 용기를 진공화하고; 상기 용기로부터 상기 금속을 함유하는 내부 라이너를 제거하는 것으로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 질코늄 또는 하프늄의 제조공정
- 제1항에 있어서, 용융염 배스내의 교반기가 축으로 구성되며 용융된 납-안티몬 마개가 상기 축 주위에 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조공정.
- 제1또는 제2항에 있어서, 마그네슘이 100ppm이하의 산소를 함유하는 것을 특징으로하는 제조공정
- 제1, 2또는 제3항에 있어서, 미세분된 질코늄 또는 하프늄이 용융된 배스에 첨가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 제조공정.
- 제1내지 제4항의 어느 한항에 있어서, 용융염 배스가 300-400℃의 온도로 조절되는 것을 특징으로하는 제조공정.
- 제1항 내지 제5항의 어느 한항에 있어서, 라이너로부터 금속을 제거하고 전자빔으로 금속을 용융시킨뒤 용기로부터 금속과 라이너를 제거하는 것을 특징으로하는 제조공정.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
