Abstract
본 발명에 의한 산소 흡수제의 보존 방법은, (A) 철, 코발트, 니켈 및 구리로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택되는 적어도 1종의 전이 금속과, (B) 알루미늄을 포함하는 합금을, 염기성 수용액 처리에 제공하여, 상기 알루미늄(B)의 적어도 일부를 용출 제거해서 얻어지는 금속으로 이루어지는 산소 흡수제로서, BET법에 의해 측정되는 비표면적이 10m2/g 이상인 산소 흡수제를 준비하고, 상기 산소 흡수제를, 킬레이트제를 함유하는 수용액에 침지하여 보존하는 것을 포함한다.
Description
본 발명은 산소 흡수제의 보존 방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 저습도의 분위기 중이어도 산소를 흡수, 제거할 수 있는 산소 흡수제의 보존 방법에 관한 것이다.
식품이나 의약품 등의 보존 기술의 하나로서 산소 흡수제(탈산소제)에 의한 보존 기술이 있다. 구체적으로는, 분위기 중의 산소를 제거하는 탈산소제를 대상물과 함께 밀폐 포장체의 내부에 넣고, 밀폐 포장체의 내부를 무산소 상태로 하는 것에 의해서, 대상물의 산화 열화, 곰팡이, 변색 등을 억제하는 기술이다.
지금까지 분위기 중의 산소를 제거하는 탈산소제로서, 각종 무기계 재료로 이루어지는 것 및 유기계 재료로 이루어지는 것이 제안되어 있다. 그 중에서도, 알루미늄과 철로 이루어지는 합금, 또는 알루미늄과 니켈로 이루어지는 합금으로부터 수산화나트륨 수용액을 이용해 알루미늄을 없앤 금속을 이용하여, 30% RH(25℃) 이하인 것과 같은 수분이 없거나 거의 없는 분위기 중이더라도, 분위기 중의 산소를 종래의 탈산소제와 동등한 레벨로 흡수, 제거할 수 있는 산소 흡수제가 개발되어 있다(예를 들면 국제공개 제2012/105457호 등).
또한, 국제공개 제2012/105457호에는, 상기와 같이 해서 얻어진 금속으로 이루어지는 산소 흡수제를, 산 또는 완충 기능을 가진 수용액 중에 침지하여 보존하는 것에 의해, 산소 흡수제의 산소 흡수 활성을 유지하면서, 장기 안정적으로 산소 흡수제를 보존할 수 있다는 것도 개시되어 있다.
그러나, 상기 특허문헌에 기재된 산소 흡수제, 특히 산소 흡수 성능이 높은 산소 흡수제는 산성 수용액에 민감하게 반응해 버리기 때문에, 산소 흡수제를 산 또는 완충 기능을 가진 수용액 중에 침지하더라도, 충분한 산소 흡수 성능을 유지하면서 산소 흡수제를 보존할 수 없는 경우가 있었다.
본 발명은 종래 기술에 있어서의 상기 과제를 해결하여, 수분이 없거나 거의 없는 분위기 하이더라도 분위기 중의 산소를 흡수하는 능력을 가지는 산소 흡수제의 보존 방법으로서, 안전성이 높고, 또한 저가격으로, 충분한 산소 흡수 성능을 유지하면서 장기 안정적으로 산소 흡수제를 보존할 수 있는 방법을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
본 발명자들은, 산소 흡수제를 제조할 때에, 성분 (B)의 용출 처리를 수산화나트륨 등의 염기에 의해 행하기 때문에, 성분 (B)의 용출 처리에 의해서 금속에 형성된 미세공 중에 수산화알루미늄 등의 금속 수산화물이 잔존하고, 수세(水洗) 공정을 거쳐도 이 잔존물이 완전히 제거될 수 없어, 이 잔존물이, 산소 흡수제를 수중 보관했을 때에 수중에 서서히 용출되어 간다는 것을 깨달았다. 그리고, 산소 흡수제를 수용액 중에 보존하면, 수용액 중에 용출된 수산화알루미늄 등의 금속 산화물이 산소 흡수제 표면에 계시적(繼時的)으로 석출되어 가는 것에 의해, 산소 흡수제의 산소 흡수 활성이 저하되고 있는 것은 아닌가라고 추측했다. 가일층의 검토의 결과, 금속 수산화물이 수용액 중에 침지되더라도, 수용액에 킬레이트제를 첨가함으로써, 산소 흡수제의 산소 흡수 활성을 유지하면서 보존할 수 있다는 지견을 얻었다. 본 발명은 이러한 지견에 의한 것이다.
즉, 본 발명은 이하의 [1]∼[4]를 제공한다.
[1] (A) 철, 코발트, 니켈 및 구리로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택되는 적어도 1종의 전이 금속과,
(B) 알루미늄
을 포함하는 합금을, 염기성 수용액 처리에 제공하여, 상기 알루미늄(B)의 적어도 일부를 용출 제거해서 얻어지는 금속으로 이루어지는 산소 흡수제로서, BET법에 의해 측정되는 비표면적이 10m2/g 이상인 산소 흡수제를 준비하고,
상기 산소 흡수제를, 킬레이트제를 함유하는 수용액에 침지하여 보존하는
것을 포함하여 이루어지는, 산소 흡수제의 보존 방법.
[2] 상기 킬레이트제가 하이드록시카복실산의 염인, [1]에 기재된 산소 흡수제의 보존 방법.

본 발명의 산소 흡수제의 보존 방법에 의하면, 산소 흡수제의 제조 후, 안정적으로 보존이 가능해져, 장기 보존 후이더라도, 제조 직후와 동등한 산소 흡수 활성을 유지할 수 있고, 수분이 없거나 또는 거의 없는 분위기 중이더라도, 분위기 중의 산소를 종래의 탈산소제와 동등한 레벨로 흡수, 제거할 수 있다.
이하, 본 발명의 실시의 형태에 대하여 설명한다. 한편, 이하의 실시의 형태는 본 발명을 설명하기 위한 예시이고, 본 발명은 그 실시의 형태에만 한정되지 않는다.
본 발명에 의한 산소 흡수제의 보존 방법은, 산소 흡수제를 준비하는 공정과, 준비한 산소 흡수제를, 킬레이트제를 함유하는 수용액에 침지하여 보존하는 공정을 포함한다. 이하, 각 공정에 대하여 상술한다.
<산소 흡수제의 준비 공정>
본 실시태양에 의한 산소 흡수제는, 하기의 (A) 및 (B)의 2성분, 즉 (A) 철, 코발트, 니켈, 구리로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택되는 적어도 1종의 전이 금속과, (B) 알루미늄을 포함하는 합금을, 염기성 수용액에 접촉시켜, 상기 합금으로부터 성분 (B)의 적어도 일부를 용출 제거해서 얻어지는 금속을 포함하여 이루어지는 것이다. 한편, 본 명세서에 있어서, 「산소 흡수제」란, 이러한 제를 설치한 주위의 분위기 중으로부터 산소를 선택적으로 흡수할 수 있는 것을 말한다.
성분 (A)로서 사용 가능한 전이 금속은 철, 코발트, 니켈, 구리로부터 선택되는 것이다. 상기한 전이 금속은 단독이어도 2종 이상을 조합하여 이용해도 되고, 예를 들면 철과 니켈이 선택되는 경우, 성분 (A)로서, Fe-Ni 합금을 사용해도 된다. 성분 (A)로서는, 바람직하게는 철 또는 니켈이고, 보다 바람직하게는 철이다. 이 중, 철은 안전성이 높고 염가이기 때문에 바람직하다. 또한, 산소 흡수제를 구성하는 성분 (B)로서는, 알루미늄을 사용한다.
본 실시형태에서 이용하는 합금은 상기한 성분 (A)와 성분 (B)를 포함하지만, 합금에는, 첨가 금속으로서, 추가로 몰리브데넘, 크로뮴, 타이타늄, 바나듐, 텅스텐 등이 포함되어 있어도 된다. 사이안산류 등의 첨가 성분이 추가로 포함되어 있어도 된다.
상기한 바와 같은 성분 (A)와 성분 (B)를 포함하는 합금은 용융법에 의해 조제할 수 있다. 이때, 성분 (A)와 성분 (B)의 조성의 비율은, 바람직하게는 성분 (A)가 20∼80질량%일 때 성분 (B)는 20∼80질량%이고, 보다 바람직하게는 성분 (A)가 30∼70질량%일 때 성분 (B)는 30∼70질량%이다. 보다 구체적인 예를 들면, 성분 (A)가 철 또는 니켈인 경우, 철 또는 니켈의 비율은 30∼55질량%이고 알루미늄의 비율이 45∼70질량%인 것이 바람직하다.
얻어지는 합금은 그대로 염기성 수용액 처리에 제공해도 되지만, 통상은 미분쇄한 후에 염기성 수용액 처리에 제공한다. 한편, 본 명세서에 있어서 「합금」이란, 특정한 결정 구조를 갖고 있는 단일 조성의 것뿐만 아니라, 그들의 혼합물 및 금속 자체의 혼합물을 포함하는 것으로 한다.
합금을 미분쇄하는 방법으로서는, 관용의 금속의 해쇄 및 분쇄를 위한 방법을 적절히 사용할 수 있고, 예를 들면 조(jaw) 크러셔나, 롤 크러셔, 해머 밀 등으로 합금을 분쇄하고, 추가로 필요에 따라서 볼 밀로 미분쇄할 수 있다. 또는, 상기 합금의 용탕을 아토마이즈법 등의 급냉 응고법에 의해 미분화해도 된다. 여기에서 아토마이즈법에 의한 경우에는, 아르곤 가스 등의 불활성 가스 중에서 행하는 것이 바람직하다. 아토마이즈법으로서는, 예를 들면 일본 특허공개 평5-23597호 공보에 기재된 방법을 사용할 수 있다.
얻어지는 합금 분말의 입경은 5∼200μm의 범위 내가 되는 것이 바람직하고, 또한 이 입경 분포는 가능한 한 좁은 것이 바람직하다. 입경이 큰 것을 배제하거나, 입경 분포를 고르게 하는 관점에서, 시판의 체(예를 들면 200메쉬 등)를 사용하여 체분리(분급)를 적절히 행해도 된다. 한편, 아토마이즈법에 의한 경우, 분말은 구 형상에 가까워지는 경향이 있고, 또한 입경 분포를 좁게 할 수 있는 경향이 있다. 한편, 합금 분말의 입경은 입도-형상 분포 측정기 등을 이용하여 측정할 수 있다.
이어서, 상기와 같이 해서 얻어진 합금 또는 합금 분말을 염기성 수용액 처리에 제공하여, 합금으로부터 성분 (B)의 적어도 일부를 용출시켜 제거한다. 즉, 본 발명에 의한 보존 방법에 있어서 사용되는 산소 흡수제로서는, 상기 합금으로부터 성분 (B)의 적어도 일부를 용출시켜 제거한 후에 얻어지는 금속이 사용된다. 염기성 수용액으로서는, 성분 (A)를 용해시키지 않거나, 또는 거의 용해시키지 않는 것인 한편, 성분 (B)를 용해시켜 제거할 수 있는 것, 즉 합금으로부터 성분 (B)를 침출(용출)시킬 수 있는 것이면 특별히 제한은 없고, 어느 것도 사용 가능하다. 염기성 수용액에 있어서의 염기로서는, 예를 들면, 수산화나트륨, 수산화칼륨 등의 알칼리 금속의 수산화물; 수산화칼슘, 수산화마그네슘 등의 알칼리 토류 금속의 수산화물; 탄산나트륨, 탄산칼륨 등의 알칼리 금속의 탄산염; 암모니아 등을 사용할 수 있다. 이들 염기성 수용액에 대해서는, 필요에 따라서 2종 이상을 적절히 조합하여 이용해도 된다.
본 실시형태에 의하면, 염기성 수용액으로서 알칼리 금속이나 알칼리 토류 금속의 수산화물의 수용액을 이용하는 것이 바람직하고, 보다 바람직하게는 수산화나트륨 수용액이다. 예를 들면, 염기성 수용액으로서 수산화나트륨을 이용하면, 수세에 의해 과잉량의 수산화나트륨을 제거하고, 또한 용출된 알루미늄을 제거하는 것이 용이하며, 이 때문에 수세 횟수를 삭감할 수 있다는 효과를 기대할 수 있다.
염기성 수용액 처리에 있어서, 통상은, 합금 분말이면, 합금 분말을 염기성 수용액 중에 교반하면서 조금씩 투입하지만, 합금 분말을 수중에 넣어두고, 여기에 추가로 농후한 염기성 수용액을 적하해도 된다.
염기성 수용액 처리에 있어서, 사용하는 염기성 수용액의 농도는, 예를 들면 5∼60질량%이고, 보다 구체적으로는, 예를 들면 수산화나트륨의 경우, 10∼40질량%가 바람직하다.
염기성 수용액 처리에 있어서는, 수용액의 온도를, 예를 들면 20∼120℃ 정도로 가온하여 사용하는 것이 바람직하다. 바람직하게는, 염기성 수용액의 온도는 25∼100℃이다.
합금 또는 합금 분말을 염기성 수용액 처리에 제공해 두는 처리 시간은 사용하는 합금의 형상, 상태, 및 그의 양, 염기성 수용액의 농도, 처리할 때의 온도 등에 따라 변화될 수 있지만, 통상은 30∼300분간 정도여도 된다. 처리 시간에 의해, 합금으로부터의 성분 (B)의 용출량을 조정할 수도 있다.
본 실시형태에 있어서는, 염기성 수용액 처리에 의해서 합금으로부터 성분 (B)의 적어도 일부를 용출 제거한다. 여기에서, 「성분 (B)의 적어도 일부」를 용출 제거한다는 것은, 성분 (A) 및 성분 (B)를 포함하는 합금으로부터 성분 (B)의 일부를 용출시켜 제거하는 것에 더하여, 성분 (B)의 전부를 합금으로부터 용출시켜 제거하는 경우도 포함하는 것을 의미한다. 한편, 성분 (B)의 용출의 과정에서는, 결과로서 성분 (A)의 일부가 용해될 가능성도 부정할 수 없으므로, 「성분 (B)의 적어도 일부」에는, 성분 (B)만이 염기성 수용액 처리에 의해서 용출되는 경우로 한정하여 해석할 필요는 없다.
염기성 수용액 처리에 의해서, 성분 (B)의 적어도 일부, 바람직하게는 그의 대부분이 합금으로부터 용출된다. 합금으로부터의 성분 (B)의 용출의 비율은 용출 제거에 의해서 얻어지는 금속에 있어서의 성분 (B)의 함유율(질량 기준의 잔존율)로 나타낼 수 있다.
산소 흡수제로서 이용되는 금속(즉, 성분 (B)를 용출한 후의 금속)에 있어서, 성분 (B)의 함유율은, 바람직하게는 0.1∼60질량%이고, 보다 바람직하게는 1∼40질량%이다. 보다 구체적으로는, 예를 들면 합금이 Al-Fe 합금인 경우, 염기성 수용액 처리에 의한 알루미늄의 용출 제거에 의해서 얻어지는 금속에 있어서의 알루미늄의 함유율은, 바람직하게는 0.1∼50질량%이고, 보다 바람직하게는 1∼40질량%, 더 바람직하게는 1∼5질량%이다. 한편, 산소 흡수제에 이용되는 금속 중의 성분 (B)의 함유량은, 예를 들면 IPC법에 의해 측정할 수 있다.
염기성 수용액 처리에 의해서, 성분 (A) 및/또는 성분 (B)의 금속 수산화물이 합금 표면에 형성되는 경우가 있다. 산소 흡수제의 산소 흡수 성능을 향상시키기 위해서, 합금으로부터 금속 수산화물을 제거할 수 있다. 즉, 합금으로부터 성분 (B)를 용출한 후, 추가로 농도가 높은 염기성 수용액으로 세정하는 것에 의해, 금속 수산화물을 제거할 수 있다.
상기와 같이 해서 얻어진 금속은 다공질 형상(또는 다공체)을 갖고 있다. 여기에서, 다공질 형상이란, 전자 현미경으로 확인할 수 있을 정도의 다수의 세공을 표면 및 내부에 갖고 있는 상태를 말한다. 본 발명에 있어서는, 금속이 갖는 다공질 형상의 정도는 그의 비표면적으로 나타낼 수 있다. 구체적으로는, 본 발명의 산소 흡수제에 이용되는 금속의 BET법에 의한 비표면적은 10m2/g 이상이고, 바람직하게는 20m2/g 이상, 보다 바람직하게는 40m2/g 이상, 더 바람직하게는 80m2/g 이상이다.
예를 들면, 본 실시형태에 있어서 성분 (A)로서 철을 이용한 경우, 얻어지는 다공질 형상의 금속의 비표면적(BET법에 의한 것)은 10∼120m2/g 정도인 한편, 다공질이 아닌 통상의 철 분말(환원 철 분말 또는 아토마이즈 철 분말)의 경우, 그의 비표면적은 0.07∼0.13m2/g 정도여서, 다공질 형상인지 아닌지는 분명하다.
또한, 금속이 갖는 다공질 형상의 정도는 벌크 밀도로 나타낼 수도 있다. 상기와 같이 해서 얻어지는 산소 흡수제(금속)의 벌크 밀도는 2g/cm3 이하이고, 바람직하게는 1.5g/cm3 이하이다. 한편, 다공질이 아닌 통상의 철 분말(환원 철 분말 또는 아토마이즈 철 분말)의 경우, 그의 벌크 밀도는 2∼3g/cm3 정도이다. 한편, 벌크 밀도는 JIS Z2504에 준거하여 측정할 수 있다.
본 실시형태에 있어서, 산소 흡수제로서 이용되는 다공질의 금속은 높은 산소 흡수 활성을 갖고 있기 때문에, 저습도 조건(예를 들면 30% RH(상대 습도)(25℃) 이하의 조건)의 분위기 하이더라도, 산소 흡수제로서 적합하게 사용할 수 있다. 물론, 고습도 조건(예를 들면 100% RH(상대 습도)(25℃)의 조건)의 분위기 하이더라도, 산소 흡수제로서 적합하게 사용할 수 있다는 것은 말할 것도 없다.
따라서, 상기와 같이 해서 얻어진 금속은, 30% RH(상대 습도)(25℃) 이하의 저습도의 분위기에 있어서, 적어도 5mL/g 이상의 산소, 보다 바람직하게는 10mL/g 이상의 산소를 흡수할 수 있다. 또한, 당해 금속을 산소 흡수제로서 사용한 경우의 산소 흡수량은, 예를 들면 30% RH(상대 습도)(25℃) 이하의 저습도의 분위기에 있어서, 5∼150mL/g이 된다.
<산소 흡수제의 보존 공정>
상기한 금속은, 성분 (B)의 용출 제거 처리를 행한 후, 통상은 수세가 행해진다. 이와 같이 해서 얻어진 금속 또는 금속 분말은, 대기 중에서는 즉시 산화되어, 산소 흡수 활성을 잃어 버린다. 따라서, 성분 (A)와 성분 (B)를 포함하는 합금을 염기성 수용액 처리한 후에는, 합금을 산소에 최대한 닿지 않도록 배려할 필요가 있다. 그 때문에, 상기한 일련의 처리를 수용액 중 및 수중에서 행하여 그대로 보존하거나, 무산소 분위기 또는 불활성 가스 분위기에서 보존하는 것이 생각된다. 그러나, 수중에서 당해 금속을 보존한 경우, 산소 흡수 활성의 급격한 저하는 막을 수 있지만, 경시적(經時的)으로 산소 흡수 활성이 저하되어 버린다는 것이 판명되었다. 또한, 무산소 분위기 또는 불활성 분위기에서 보존을 행하기 위해서는, 장치 등이 필요해지기 때문에 비용 증가를 초래한다.
본 발명에 있어서는, 킬레이트제를 함유시킨 수용액 중에 금속으로 이루어지는 산소 흡수제를 침지시켜 보존하는 것에 의해, 제조 후 안정적으로 보존이 가능해져, 장기 보존 후이더라도, 제조 직후와 동등한 산소 흡수 활성을 유지할 수 있고, 수분이 없거나 거의 없는 분위기 중이더라도, 분위기 중의 산소를 종래의 탈산소제와 동등한 레벨로 흡수, 제거할 수 있다.
본 발명에 있어서, 킬레이트제를 함유시킨 수용액을 이용함으로써, 산소 흡수제의 산소 흡수 활성을 유지할 수 있는 이유에 대해서는 분명하지는 않지만, 예를 들면 이하의 기구가 추측된다. 즉, 상기한 바와 같이 산소 흡수제를 제조할 때에, 성분 (B)의 용출 처리를 수산화나트륨 등의 염기에 의해 행하기 때문에, 성분 (B)의 용출 처리에 의해서 금속에 형성된 미세공 중에는, 수산화알루미늄 등이 잔존한다. 수세 공정을 거쳐도 수산화알루미늄 등이 완전히 제거될 수 없어, 산소 흡수제를 수중에서 보존하면 수중에 수산화알루미늄 등이 서서히 용출된다. 그 후, 알루미늄을 포함하는 화합물이 산소 흡수제 표면에 석출되어 산소 흡수의 활성점을 폐색할 가능성이 생각된다. 그러나, 킬레이트제를 함유시킨 수용액을 이용함으로써, 킬레이트제가 알루미늄 이온을 봉쇄한다. 이에 의해, 석출물에 의한 활성점의 폐색을 막고 있는 것으로 추측된다.
산소 흡수제를 침지시키는 보존 매체로서는, 안전성 및 비용의 관점에서는 물이 적합하다. 따라서, 산소 흡수제를 침지시키는 수용액으로서는, 킬레이트제를 함유시킨 수용액이 이용된다. 한편, 수용액의 pH는 7∼12가 바람직하고, 8∼12가 보다 바람직하며, 10∼11이 더 바람직하다. 수용액의 pH를 상기 범위 내로 한 경우, 산소 흡수제 중의 철(Fe) 성분의 용해를 보다 억제할 수 있다.
상기한 바와 같은 킬레이트제로서 사용 가능한 물질로서는, 특별히 제한되는 것은 아니고, 구체적으로는, 글리콜산, 락트산, 말산, 타타르산, 시트르산, 글루콘산, 헵톤산 등의 하이드록시카복실산의 염; 석신산, 말론산, 옥살산, 프탈산 등의 다이카복실산의 염; 폴리아크릴산, 폴리말레산 등의 폴리카복실산의 염:글리신, 나이트릴로삼아세트산, 에틸렌다이아민사아세트산(EDTA), 하이드록시에틸에틸렌다이아민삼아세트산(HEDTA), 다이에틸렌트라이아민오아세트산, 폴리아미노폴리카복실산 등의 아미노카복실산 및 그의 염; 에티드론산(HEDP), 나이트릴로트리스(메틸렌포스폰산)(ATMP), 에틸렌다이아민테트라메틸렌포스폰산(EDTMP) 등의 아인산계 킬레이트제 및 그의 염; 에틸렌다이아민, 다이에틸렌트라이아민, 트라이에틸렌테트라민 등의 아민계 킬레이트제 등으로부터 선택되는 적어도 1종, 또는 2종 이상을 조합하여 사용할 수 있다. 이들 중에서도, 생체에 대한 안전성, 비용면 등에서 하이드록시카복실산의 염이 바람직하고, 하이드록시카복실산의 알칼리 금속염이 보다 바람직하며, 락트산나트륨, 말산나트륨, 타타르산나트륨, 시트르산나트륨, 글루콘산나트륨이 더 바람직하고, 타타르산나트륨, 시트르산나트륨, 글루콘산나트륨이 특히 바람직하다.
또한, 본 발명에 있어서 사용하는 킬레이트제로서, 킬레이트 수지도 적합하게 사용할 수 있다. 킬레이트 수지로서 사용 가능한 물질을 예시하면, 앰버라이트 IRC748(오가노주식회사제), 다이아이온 CR11(미쓰비시화학주식회사제) 등을 사용할 수 있다.
또한, 본 실시형태에 의한 산소 흡수제의 보존 방법에 있어서는, 수용액 중의 킬레이트제의 함유량이 산소 흡수제 100질량부에 대하여 0.1∼20질량부인인 것이 바람직하고, 보다 바람직하게는 1∼10질량부이며, 특히 바람직하게는 2∼5질량부이다. 킬레이트제의 농도를 상기 범위로 함으로써, 산소 흡수제의 제조 직후의 산소 흡수 활성을 더한층 유지해 둘 수 있다.
본 실시형태에 있어서는, 산소 흡수제의 질량의 2배량 이상의 질량의 수용액 중에 산소 흡수제를 침지시켜, 상온 이하에서 보존하는 것이 바람직하다. 수용액의 양을 산소 흡수제의 2배 이상으로 하는 것에 의해, 산소 흡수제를 충분히 수용액 중에 침지시킬 수 있다.
<산소 흡수제의 사용 방법>
킬레이트제를 함유하는 수용액 중에 보존한 산소 흡수제를 사용함에 있어서는, 당해 수용액으로부터 산소 흡수제를 취출하여 건조시키면 된다. 단, 산소 흡수제는 상기한 바와 같이 대기 중에서는 산화되어 열화되기 쉬운 것이기 때문에, 산소 흡수 활성을 손상시키지 않기 위해서, 예를 들면 진공 건조 등의 수단에 의해, 산소에 의한 영향을 가능한 한 배제한 조건에서, 건조를 행하고, 사용하는 것이 바람직하다.
상기한 바와 같이, 본 발명에 의한 산소 흡수제는, 대기 중에서는 산화되어 열화되기 쉬운 것이기 때문에, 사용에 있어서는, 산소 흡수제를 수지에 혼합(혼련)하여, 얻어지는 산소 흡수성 수지의 형태로 사용할 수 있다.
사용할 수 있는 수지로서, 그 종류에 특별히 제한은 없지만, 폴리올레핀 수지, 폴리에스터 수지, 폴리아마이드 수지, 폴리바이닐알코올 수지 및 염소계 수지 등의 열가소성 수지를 사용할 수 있다. 특히, 폴리에틸렌, 폴리프로필렌, 에틸렌-아세트산바이닐 공중합체, 엘라스토머, 또는 이들의 혼합물을 적합하게 사용할 수 있다.
저습도의 보존 조건을 필요로 하는 저수분 함유 물품을 보존하기 위해서는, 저수분 함유 물품을 보존하는 분위기의 상대 습도(RH)는, 바람직하게는 20∼70%, 보다 바람직하게는 20∼50%이다. 저수분 함유 물품의 수분 함유율은, 바람직하게는 50중량% 이하, 보다 바람직하게는 30중량% 이하, 특히 바람직하게는 10중량% 이하의 것이 모두 해당한다. 저습도의 보존 조건을 필요로 하는 저수분 함유 물품(피포장물)으로서, 예를 들면, 분말, 과립 식품류(분말 스프, 분말 음료, 분말 과자, 조미료, 곡물 분말, 영양 식품, 건강 식품, 착색료, 착향료, 향신료), 분말, 과립 약품(가루약류, 가루 비누, 치약, 공업 약품), 이들의 성형체(정제형) 등의, 수분의 증가를 꺼리고, 이물의 혼입을 피할 필요가 있는 식품, 약품 등을 예시할 수 있다. 특히, 후기하는 바와 같은 산소 흡수성 포장체로 이들 피포장물을 충전한 경우, 수분이 없거나 거의 없는 분위기 중이더라도, 분위기 중의 산소를 종래의 탈산소제와 동등한 레벨로 흡수, 제거하는 것이 가능하다. 따라서, 종래의 탈산소제의 적용이 어려웠던 수분을 꺼리는 건조 식품, 의약품, 전자 재료의 패키지의 분위기 중을 탈산소 상태로 하는 등의 용도에 적합하게 사용할 수 있다. 예를 들면, 분말 조미료, 분말 커피, 커피콩, 쌀, 차, 콩, 쌀과자, 전병 등의 건조 식품이나 의약품, 비타민제 등의 건강 식품에 적합하게 사용할 수 있다.
본 발명의 다른 태양에 의한 산소 흡수성 포장체는, 상기한 산소 흡수제 또는 산소 흡수성 수지 조성물을, 통기성 포장재를 전부 또는 일부에 이용한 포장재로 포장한 것이다. 여기에서, 포장재로서는, 2매의 통기성 포장재를 접합하여 백(bag) 형상으로 한 것이나, 1매의 통기성 포장재와 1매의 비통기성 포장재를 접합하여 백 형상으로 한 것, 또는 1매의 통기성 포장재를 절곡(折曲)하고, 절곡부를 제외한 가장자리부끼리를 시일하여 백 형상으로 한 것을 들 수 있다. 또한, 통기성 포장재로서는, 산소와 이산화탄소를 투과시키는 포장재를 사용할 수 있다. 이와 같은 통기성 포장재로서는, 종이나 부직포 외에, 종래 공지의 플라스틱 필름에 통기성을 부여한 것을 들 수 있다.
실시예
이하, 본 발명을 실시예에 의해 더 구체적으로 설명하지만, 본 발명은 이하의 실시예에 의해 한정되는 것은 아니다.
<산소 흡수제의 제조 및 평가>
Al(알루미늄) 분말과 Fe(철) 분말을 각각 50질량%의 비율로 혼합하고, 질소 중에서 용해시켜, Al-Fe 합금을 얻었다. 이어서, 얻어진 Al-Fe 합금을 조 크러셔, 롤 크러셔 및 볼 밀을 이용하여 분쇄하고, 분쇄물을 눈 크기 200메쉬(0.075mm)의 체를 이용해 분급하여, 입경이 200메쉬 이하인 Al-Fe 합금 분말을 얻었다. 이와 같이 해서 얻어진 Al-Fe 합금 분말 150g을 30질량%의 수산화나트륨 수용액 중에 50℃에서 1시간 교반 혼합한 후, 여과 분리를 행하고, 40질량% 수산화나트륨 수용액 중에 50℃에서 1시간 더 교반 혼합을 행했다. 계속해서, 혼합 용액을 정치하고, 상층액을 없앴다. 남은 침전물을 pH가 11 이하가 될 때까지 증류수로 세정하여, Al-Fe 다공질 합금 분말을 얻었다. 이와 같이, 다공질 합금 분말은 산소에 접촉시키는 것을 회피하기 위해 수용액 중에서의 반응에 의해 제작했다.
얻어진 다공질 합금 분말을 200Pa 이하, 80℃에서 2시간, 진공 건조하여 Al-Fe 다공질 합금 분말의 건조물을 얻었다. 얻어진 합금 분말의 벌크 밀도는 0.9g/cm3(JIS Z2504에 준거하여 측정)였다. 얻어진 합금 분말 0.5g을 통기성 파우치 백 내에 포장하고, 건조제와 함께 가스 배리어 백(Al박 라미네이트 플라스틱 백)에 넣고, 50mL의 공기(산소 농도 20.9용량%)를 충전하여 밀봉하고, 25℃에서 7일간 보존한 후의 산소 농도를 측정한 바, 9.1용량%였다. 가스 배리어 백 내의 감소한 산소 농도로부터 산소 흡수량을 산출한 결과, 산소 흡수량은 130mL/g이었다.
또한, 얻어진 Al-Fe 다공질 합금 분말의 평균 입경을 입도-형상 분포 측정기(주식회사세이신기업제 「PITA-2」)를 사용하여 측정한 바, 평균 입경은 31μm였다. 또, 얻어진 Al-Fe 다공질 합금 분말의 비표면적을 자동 비표면적 측정 장치(주식회사시마즈제작소제 「제미니 VII2390」)를 사용하여 측정한 바, 비표면적은 100m2/g이었다.
실시예 1
상기와 같이 해서 얻어진 Al-Fe 다공질 합금 분말로 이루어지는 산소 흡수제 100g을 포함하는 물 슬러리 300g에 킬레이트제로서 타타르산나트륨을 2g 첨가하여 보존했다. 보존 개시로부터 14일 후, 28일 후 및 56일 후에 산소 흡수제의 일부를 샘플링하여, 200Pa 이하, 80℃에서 수분량 1질량% 이하가 될 때까지 진공 건조를 행했다. 그 후, 상기와 마찬가지로 해서 산소 농도의 측정을 행하여, 산소 흡수제의 산소 흡수량을 산출했다. 얻어진 산소 흡수량으로부터, 하기 식을 이용하여 산소 흡수 성능 유지율(%)을 산출했다.
산소 흡수 성능 유지율(%)
= (보존 후의 산소 흡수량)/(조제 직후의 산소 흡수량=130)×100
결과는 하기의 표 1에 나타나는 대로였다.
실시예 2
실시예 1에 있어서 이용한 타타르산나트륨의 첨가량을 5g으로 변경한 것 이외에는 실시예 1과 마찬가지의 측정을 행하여, 산소 흡수 성능 유지율을 산출했다. 결과는 하기의 표 1에 나타나는 대로였다.
실시예 3
실시예 1에 있어서 이용한 타타르산나트륨을 글루콘산나트륨으로 변경한 것 이외에는 실시예 1과 마찬가지의 측정을 행하여, 산소 흡수 성능 유지율을 산출했다. 결과는 하기의 표 1에 나타나는 대로였다.
비교예

실시예 1에 있어서, 물 슬러리에 타타르산나트륨을 첨가하지 않은 것 이외에는, 실시예 1과 마찬가지의 측정을 행하여, 산소 흡수 성능 유지율을 산출했다. 결과는 하기의 표 1에 나타나는 대로였다.
비교예 2
실시예 1에 있어서 이용한 타타르산나트륨을 시트르산으로 변경한 것 이외에는 실시예 1과 마찬가지의 측정을 행하여, 산소 흡수 성능 유지율을 산출했다. 결과는 하기의 표 1에 나타나는 대로였다.
비교예 3
실시예 1에 있어서 이용한 Al-Fe 다공질 합금 분말로 이루어지는 산소 흡수제 100g을 포함하는 물 슬러리 200g에, 농도가 0.2M이 되도록 조제된 pH 6의 시트르산-시트르산나트륨 완충액을 100g 첨가하여 보존한 것 이외에는 실시예 1과 마찬가지의 측정을 행하여, 산소 흡수 성능 유지율을 산출했다. 결과는 하기의 표 1에 나타나는 대로였다.
보존액에 킬레이트제를 함유하는 수용액을 이용한 실시예 1∼5에서는, 28일 후의 산소 흡수 성능 유지율이 76∼91%로 높은 값이어서, 산소 흡수제의 성능 저하를 억제할 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있다. 한편, 물이나 시트르산 수용액 등을 산소 흡수제의 보존액으로서 이용한 비교예 1∼3에서는 28일 후의 산소 흡수 성능 유지율 11∼66%가 되어, 산소 흡수제의 성능 저하를 억제할 수 없다는 것이 분명해졌다.
Claims (4)
- (A) 철, 코발트, 니켈 및 구리로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택되는 적어도 1종의 전이 금속과,
(B) 알루미늄
을 포함하는 합금을, 염기성 수용액 처리에 제공하여, 상기 알루미늄(B)의 적어도 일부를 용출 제거해서 얻어지는 금속으로 이루어지는 산소 흡수제로서, BET법에 의해 측정되는 비표면적이 10m2/g 이상인 산소 흡수제를 준비하고,
상기 산소 흡수제를, 킬레이트제를 함유하는 수용액에 침지하여 보존하는
것을 포함하여 이루어지는, 산소 흡수제의 보존 방법. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 킬레이트제가 하이드록시카복실산의 염인, 산소 흡수제의 보존 방법. - 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,
상기 수용액 중의 킬레이트제의 함유량이 상기 산소 흡수제 100질량부에 대하여 0.1∼20질량부인, 산소 흡수제의 보존 방법. - 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,
상기 수용액의 pH가 7∼12인, 산소 흡수제의 보존 방법.
