Abstract
본 발명은 적어도, 하나 이상의 디플루오로트리스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란 또는 하나 이상의 트리플루오로비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란과 플루오르화수소의 적절한 반응 매질 내에서의 반응 및 생성되는 반응 혼합물의 가열을 포함하는, 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산에 제조 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 또한 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산의 염 및 이의 용도에 관한 것이다.
Description
비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산은 얼마간 공지되어 왔고, 각종 화합물, 예를 들어 강한 메틸화 시약인, 상응하는 메틸 에세테르의 제조에 적합하다(N. V. Pavlenko et al., Zh. Obshch. Khim., 59, No. 3 (1989), pages 534-537). 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산 및 이의 상응하는 염은 그것의 표면-활성 작용에 기초하여 사용되고 (DE-A 22 33 941; N.N. Kalibabchuk et al., Teor. Eksp. Khim., 1 1, No. 6 (1975), pages 838-841; N.N. 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산의 리튬염은 리튬 배터리에서의 전도성 염으로사용되기 위한 유력한 후보이다(F. Kita et al., Proc. Electrochem. Soc., 99-25, (2000), pages 480-484; F. Kita et al., J. Power Sources, 90, No. 1 (2000), pages 27-32).
비스(트리플루오로메틸)포스핀산은 어렵게 이용가능한 비스(트리플루오로메틸)포스포러스 트리클로라이드의 가수분해에 의하여 제조된다(H. J. Emeleus et al., J. Chem. Soc. (1955), pages 563-574). 비스(트리플루오로메틸)포스핀산의 더 높은 동족체는 상응하는 디플루오로트리스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란으로부터 수득되었다(V. Ya. Semenii et al., U.S.S.R.Patent 498,311).

추가의 공지된 방법은 디플루오로트리스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란의 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산으로의 직접 가수분해이다(T. Mahmood et al, InorganicChemistry, 27(1998), pages 2913-2916). 상기 방법에서, 포스포란과 물, 특히 포스포란과 긴 알킬쇄와의 매우 낮은 혼화성으로 인하여, 가수분해는 오직 매우 느리게 진행되고, 보통 매우 복잡한 생성물 혼합물로 귀결된다는 것이 단점이다.
본 발명은 적어도, 하나 이상의 디플루오로트리스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란 또는 하나 이상의 트리플루오로비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란과 플루오르화수소의 적절한 반응 매질 내에서의 반응 및 생성되는 반응 혼합물의 가열을 포함하는, 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산에 제조 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 또한 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산의 염 및 이의 용도에 관한 것이다.
본 발명의 목적은 따라서, 우수한 수율로 간단하고 저렴한 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산의 제조를 가능하게 하는 방법을 제공하는 것이다. 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산는 바람직하게는 고순도로 수득되어야 한다. 추가의 목적은 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산의 염을 제공하는 것이다.
상기 목적은 적어도 하기의 처리 단계를 포함하는 본 발명에 따른 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산의 제조 방법에 의해 달성되었다:

b) a)에서 수득된 반응 혼합물의 가열.
디플루오로트리스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란 및 트리플루오로비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란은 종래 기술의 숙련자들에게 공지된 통상의 방법에 의해 제조될 수 있다.
상기 화합물은 바람직하게는 문헌[V. Ya. Semenii et al., Zh. Obshch.Khim., 55, No. 12 (1985), pages 2716-2720; N. Ignatiev, J. of Fluorine Chem., 103 (2000), pages 57-61] 및 WO 00/21969에 기술된 바와 같이, 적절한 개시 화합물의 전기화학적 플루오르화에 의해 제조된다. 상응하는 서술은 참조에 의해 본 명세서에 도입되고 본 개시의 일부로 간주된다.
본 발명에 따른 방법에서, 둘 이상의 디플루오로트리스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란 및/또는 둘 이상의 트리플루오로비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란의 혼합물을 사용하는 것이 또한 가능하다. 바람직하게는, 각 경우에서, 오직 하나의 디플루오로트리스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란 또는 트리플루오로비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란이 본 발명에 따른 방법에서 사용된다.
본 발명에 다른 방법의 바람직한 구현에서, 하기 화학식 1의 하나 이상의 디플루오로트리스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란 및 하나 이상의 트리플루오로비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란이 사용된다.

특히 바람직한 디플루오로트리스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란 화합물은 디플루오로트리스(펜타플루오로에틸)포스포란, 디플루오로트리스(n-노나플루오로부틸)포스포란 및 디플루오로트리스(n-헵타플루오로프로필)포스포란으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택될 수 있다.
본 발명에 따른 방법에서 이용될 수 있는 특히 바람직한 트리플루오로비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란 화합물은 트리플루로오비스(n-노나플루오로부틸)포스포란이다. 하나 이상의 디플루오로트리스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란 또는 하나 이상의 트리플루오로비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란과 플루오르화수소의 적절한 반응 매질 내에서의 반응은 바람직하게는 DE 101 30 940.6에 기술된 바와 같은 방법에서 수행된다. 상응하는 기술은 참조에 의해 본 명세서에 도입되어 본 개시의 일부로서 간주된다.
반응 단계 a) 및 반응 단계 b)에서 수득된 반응 혼합물의 가열 온도는 바람직하게는 실온 내지 150℃이고, 특히 바람직하게는 100℃ 내지 145℃이며, 매우 특히 바람직하게는 135 내지 140℃이다.
반응 단계 a)에서 수득된 반응 혼합물은 바람직하게는 1 내지 150 시간 동안, 특히 바람직하게는 10 내지 25 시간 동안, 및 매우 특히 바람직하게는 18 내지 22 시간 동안 반응 단계 b)에서 가열된다.
원한다면, 반응 단계 b)에서 가열시 반응 혼합물 내로 동일한 또는 또다른 반응 매질의 일부를 다시 첨가하는 것이 유리하다.
가수분해를 가속화하기 위하여, 반응 단계 a)에서 수득된 반응 혼합물은 바람직하게는 폐쇄된, 가압 장치(pressure-tight apparatus), 예를 들어 오토클레이브(autoclave)와 같은 장치 내에서, 상승된 온도, 바람직하게는 140℃ 내지 200℃로 가열될 수 있다.
목적하는 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산 이외에, 본 발명에 따른 방법에 따르는 반응은 플루오르화수소를 제공하고, 각 경우에 있어서 추가의 반응 생성물로서 상응하는 모노히드로퍼플루오로알칸을 제공한다. 상기 반응 생성물은, 종래 기술의 숙련자에게 친숙한 방법, 예를 들어 적절한 콜드 트랩(cold trap) 내에서 축합에 의해, 원한다면 분리될 수 있고, 원한다면 수집될 수 있으며, 원한다면 단리될 수 있다.
플루오르화수소 및 모노히드로퍼플루오로알칸은 그 자체로, 유용하게 이용될 수 있는 가치있는 화학 원료이다. 따라서, 그것이 반응 단계 a)에서의 반응을 위해 이용가능하도록, 플루오르화수소를 수집 및 재순환하는 것이 특히 가능하다. 필요하다면, 본 발명에 따른 방법에 의한 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산의 제조 이후에 정제될 수 있고, 원한다면, 종래 기술의 숙련자에게 친숙한 통상의 방법에 의해 단리될 수 있다. 정제는 바람직하게는 증류, 바람직하게는 상승된 온도에서 감압 하에 수행된다.
비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산의 각각의 염은 바람직하게는 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산의 중화에 의해 단리될 수 있다.
염은, 종래 기술의 숙련자에게 공지된, 바람직하게는 용액 내의 하나 이상의 통상의 염기와의 반응에 의하여 각각의 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산로부터 제조된다.
상기 염을 제조하기 위하여, 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산은, 바람직하게는 수산화물, 산화물, 수소화물, 아미드, 탄산염, 포스핀 및 아민으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 염기를 사용하여 중화된다.
중화 이후, 형성된 염은 종래 기술의 숙련자에게 공지된 방식으로 워크-업(work-up)된다. 염은 세정될 수 있고 이어서 건조될 수 있다.
본 출원은 또한 부분 알킬화 및 퍼알킬화 암모늄, 포스포늄, 술포늄, 피리디늄, 피리다지늄, 피리미디늄, 피라지늄, 이미다졸륨, 피라졸륨, 티아졸륨, 옥사졸륨 및 트리아졸륨 염으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산의 염에 관한 것이다. 하기로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 양이온을 가지는 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산의 염의 제조가 바람직하다:

비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산의 제조를 위한 본 발명에 따른 방법은, 매우 우수한 수율로, 간단한, 저렴한 및 믿을만한 상기 화합물의 제조를 가능하게 한다. 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산은 보통 추가의 복잡한 정제 단계 없이 고순도로 수득된다. 염기와의 반응을 통해, 지금까지 이용가능하지 않았던 염이 수득될 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 방법에서 수득된 부산물, 즉 플루오르화수소 및 모노히드로퍼플루오로알칸은 그 자체로, 유용하게 이용될 수 있는 원료로서 가치가 있다. 이는 본 발명에 따른 방법에 따르는 반응에서, 환경적 영향을 낮게 유지시키고, 본 발명에 따른 방법의 비용을 감소시킨다.

실시예 1:
비스(펜타플루오로에틸)포스핀산 (C2F5)2P(O)0H의 합성
a)
3.53 g의 물(294 mmol의 혼합물 중의 물의 총량에 상응함)을 FEP(플루오로에틸렌 중합체) 플라스크 중의 40 중량%의 플루오르화수소산 2.93 g(HF의 58.6 mmol에 상응함)에 첨가하였다. 생성되는 혼합물을 그 후 얼음 수조(ice bath)를 사용하여 냉각하였다. 25.03 g(58.7 mmol)의 디플루오로트리스(펜타플루오로에틸)포스포란, (C2F5)3PF2를 이어서 자석 교반기를 사용하여 교반하면서 3분 동안에 걸쳐 첨가하였다. 추가의 3분 이내에 완전히 용해된 디플루오로트리스(펜타플루오로에틸)포스포란, 및 무색의, 물 중의 H+[(C2F5)3PF3]-의 맑은 용액을 수득하였다.
생성되는 용액을 추가의 15분 동안 실온에서 교반하였고, 이어서 14시간 동안 135 내지 140℃의 온도인 오일-수조에서 환류하였다. 추가로 4.83 g의 물을 이어서 용액에 첨가하였고, 그 혼합물을 6시간 동안 동일한 온도에서 환류하였다. 실온에서 냉각 후, 24.81 g의 맑은 용액을 수득하였다.
3.95 g의 이상 액체(two-phase liquid)를 드라이 아이스로 냉각된 중간 트랩에서 수집하였다. 상기 액체는 2.11 g의 C2F5H, 1.5 g의 HF 및 0.34 g의 개시 화합물 디플루오로트리스(펜타플루오로에틸)포스포란을 함유하였다.
비스(펜타플루오로에틸)포스핀산을 단리하기 위하여, 플루오르화수소 수용액을 반응 혼합물로부터 증류 제거하여, 15.13 g의 실질적으로 순수한 비스(펜타플루오로에틸)포스핀산을 제공하였다. 수율은, 사용된 디플루오로트리스(펜타플루오로에틸)포스포란에 기초하여 86.5% 였다.
추가의 정제를 위하여, 비스(펜타플루오로에틸)포스핀산을 125 Pa의 감압 하에 증류하였다. 비등점은 63 내지 64℃ 였다.

실시예 2:
비스(n-노나플루오로부틸)포스핀산 (n-C4F9)2P(O)OH의 합성
a)
4.25 g의 물(371 mmol의 혼합물 중의 물의 총량에 상응함)을 FEP(플루오로에틸렌 중합체) 플라스크 중의 40 중량%의 플루오르화수소산 4.07 g(HF의 81.4 mmol에 상응함)에 첨가하였다. 생성되는 혼합물을 그 후 얼음 수조(ice bath)를 사용하여 냉각하였다. 51.42 g(70.8 mmol)의 디플루오로트리스(n-노나플루오로부틸)포스포란, (n-C4F9)3PF2를 이어서 자석 교반기를 사용하여 교반하면서 10분 동안에 걸쳐 첨가하였다.

비스(n-노나플루오로부틸)포스핀산을 단리하기 위하여, 플루오르화수소 수용액을 145℃의 온도의 오일-수조에서 반응 혼합물로부터 증류 제거하여, 34.62 g의실질적으로 순수한 비스(n-노나플루오로부틸)포스핀산을 고체로서 제공하였다. 수율은, 사용된 디플루오로트리스(n-노나플루오로부틸)포스포란에 기초하여 97.4% 였다.
추가의 정제를 위하여, 비스(n-노나플루오로부틸)포스핀산을 125 Pa의 감압 하에 증류하였다. 비등점은 124℃ 였다. 냉각시, 생성되는 비스(n-노나플루오로부틸)포스핀산을 고체화하여 103 내지 104℃의 융점을 가지는 고체를 제공하였다.

실시예 3:
실시예 1에서 기술된 바와 같이 제조된, 3.07 g의 비스(펜타플루오로에틸)포스핀산을 7.48 g의 20 중량 %의 테트라에틸암모늄 수산화물의 수용액을 사용하여 50㎤ 의 물 중에서 중화하였다. 물을 이어서 증류 제거하였고, 생성되는 잔사를 70℃(수조 온도)에서 120 Pa의 감압 하에 건조하였다.
100 내지 102℃의 융점을 가지는, 4.38 g의 테트라에틸암모늄 비스(펜타플루오로에틸)포스핀산의 백색 고체를 수득하였다. 수율은 사용된 비스(펜타플루오로에틸)포스핀산에 기초하여 실질적으로 정량적이다.

Claims (13)
- 적어도 하기의 처리 단계를 포함하는 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산 또는 이의 염의 제조 방법:a) 하나 이상의 디플루오로트리스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란 또는 하나 이상의 트리플루오로비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란과 플루오르화수소의 적절한 반응 매질 내에서의 반응, 및b) a)에서 수득된 반응 혼합물의 가열.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 염이 차후의 중화에 의해 제조되는 것을 특징으로 하는 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산 또는 이의 염의 제조 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 사용되는 디플루오로트리스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란 또는 트리플루오로비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란이 하기 화학식 1의 화합물인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법:[화학식 1](CnF2n+1)mPF5-m[상기 식 중, 1≤n ≤8, 바람직하게는 1≤n ≤4이고, 각 경우에서 m = 2 또는 3 임].
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 사용되는 디플루오로트리스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란이 디플루오로트리스(펜타플루오로에틸)포스포란, 디플루오로트리스(n-노나플루오로부틸)포스포란 및 디플루오로트리스(n-헵타플루오로프로필)포스포란으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 화합물인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 사용되는 트리플루오로비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스포란 화합물이 트리플루오로비스(n-노나플루오로부틸)포스포란인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 처리 단계 b)에서의 가열시 온도가 실온 내지 150℃이고, 바람직하게는 100℃ 내지 145℃이며, 특히 바람직하게는 135 내지 140℃인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 처리 단계 b)에서의 가열 시간이 1 내지 150 시간, 바람직하게는 10 내지 25 시간, 특히 바람직하게는 18 내지 22 시간인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 반응 매질이 물 또는 물-기재 혼합물인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 2 항에 있어서, 염기, 바람직하게는 수산화물, 산화물, 수소화물, 아미드, 탄산염, 포스핀 또는 아민이 염을 제조하기 위해 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 부분 알킬화 및 퍼알킬화 암모늄, 포스포늄, 술포늄, 피리디늄, 피리다지늄, 피리미디늄, 피라지늄, 이미다졸륨, 피라졸륨, 티아졸륨, 옥사졸륨 및 트리아졸륨 염으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 비스(퍼플루오로알킬)포스핀산의 염.
