Claims (16)
- 프로그래밍 콘텐츠를 기술하는 정보와 연관될 수 있는 방송 프로그래밍에 대한 시청자 응답을 평가하는 시스템에 있어서:텔레비젼 프로그래밍을 수신하여 디스플레이하는 수신기(105);상기 디스플레이된 프로그래밍을 보는 상기 시청자에 의한 물리적 반응을 감지하여, 상기 물리적 반응을 나타내는 신호를 생성하는 적어도 하나의 센서; 및상기 센서 신호를 수신하고 이를 분석하여, 적어도 하나의 인식 가능한 시청자 응답과 연관시킬 수 있는지를 결정하는 프로세서(185)를 포함하고,상기 프로세서(185)는 상기 인식된 반응을 상기 물리적 반응이 감지된 때 디스플레이되었던 프로그램에 관련한 기술 정보(descriptive information)와 연관시키는, 평가 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 프로그래밍 기술(programming description)과 감지된 반응 사이의 연관성을 시청자 선호(viewer preference)로서 저장하는 메모리 장치를 더 포함하는, 평가 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 하나의 센서는 복수의 센서를 포함하고, 상기 시스템은 상기 복수의 센서들 중 적어도 일부에 의해 생성된 신호들을 수신하는 센서 신호 수신기(285)를 더 포함하고, 상기 센서 신호 수신기(285)는 상기 수신된센서 신호들을 결합하여 상기 프로세서(185)가 상기 센서 신호들의 집합을 분석할 수 있도록 하는, 평가 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 하나의 센서는 비디오 촬상 장치(240)이고, 상기 시스템은 상기 비디오 카메라와 통신하는 비디오 프로세서(300)를 더 포함하고, 상기 비디오 프로세서(300)는 상기 비디오 카메라(240)로부터 수신된 비디오 영상들에 비교하는 영상 라이브러리(325)를 포함하는, 평가 시스템.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 비디오 카메라(240)에 의해 촬상된 영상들을 기록하는 비디오 레코더(140)를 더 포함하는, 평가 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 적어도 하나의 센서는 상기 시청자에 의해 만들어진 음성들을 픽업하는 마이크로폰인, 평가 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 시청자 물리적 반응들을 분석하는데 사용하기 위해 시청 주변 환경의 변화를 감지하여 주변 환경 정보를 상기 프로세서(185)로 송신하는 주변 환경 센서를 더 포함하는, 평가 시스템.
- 하나 이상의 이산 세그먼트들을 포함하는 방송 프로그래밍에 대한 시청자 응답을 평가하는 방법에 있어서:상기 시청자가 상기 프로그래밍을 볼 수 있는 수신기(105)를 제공하는 단계;적어도 하나의 시청자의 물리적 조건을 모니터링하는 단계; 및감지된 물리적 조건 상태를 시청자 응답과 연관시키는 단계를 포함하는, 평가 방법.
- 제 8 항에 있어서, 상기 물리적 조건 상태는 기준라인 레벨에 대한 상기 물리적 조건에서의 변화를 포함하고, 상기 변화는 모니터링 단계 동안 감지되는, 평가 방법.
- 제 8 항에 있어서, 디스플레이된 프로그래밍 세그먼트의 적어도 하나의 구별되는 특징을 결정하는 단계;상기 프로그래밍 세그먼트의 디스플레이 동안에 감지된 물리적 조건에 대응하는 시청자 응답을 시청자 선호 레벨과 연관시키는 단계; 및프로그램 선택을 향상시키기 위해 상기 선호 레벨을 적용하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 평가 방법.
- 제 10 항에 있어서, 상기 프로그램 선택은 지정된 장래의 프로그래밍이 상기 적어도 하나의 구별되는 특징을 갖는 적어도 하나의 세그먼트를 포함할 것이라는 통지를 제공함으로써 향상되는, 평가 방법.
- 제 10 항에 있어서, 상기 프로그램 선택은 상기 적어도 하나의 구별되는 특징을 갖는 세그먼트를 프로그램 내에 삽입함으로써 향상되는, 평가 방법.
- 제 8 항에 있어서, 상기 시청자 물리적 조건의 상기 모니터링된 물리적 조건은 생체 응답인, 평가 방법.
- 제 8 항에 있어서, 상기 모니터링 단계는 시각적으로 식별 가능한 응답을 모니터링하는 단계를 포함하는, 평가 방법.
- 제 14 항에 있어서, 상기 시각적으로 식별 가능한 응답은 상기 시청자의 응시 방향을 포함하는, 평가 방법.
- 제 14 항에 있어서, 상기 시각적으로 식별 가능한 응답은 다른 방향으로 변경되기 전 특정 방향에서의 상기 시청자의 응시 기간을 포함하는, 평가 방법.
