Claims (10)
- 하나 이상의 LED를 통하여 흐르는 LED 전류(ILED2)의 평균 암페어수(mean amperage) - 상기 평균 암페어수는 상기 LED 전류(ILED2)의 피크 암페어수(peak amperage)와 밸리 암페어수(valley amperage)의 평균임 - 를 조절하기 위한 방법으로서, 상기 방법은제어 교차 임계치들(control crossover thresholds)로서 상위 트립 전압(upper trip voltage)(VUT) 및 하위 트립 전압(lower trip voltage)(VLT)을 설정하는 단계;상기 하나 이상의 LED를 통하는 상기 LED 전류(ILED2)의 흐름을 나타내는 LED 전류 감지 전압(VSEN1)을 설정하는 단계;음의 방향으로 상기 LED 전류 감지 전압(VSEN1)에 의한 상기 하위 트립 전압(VLT)의 교차 각각에 응답하여, 상기 밸리 암페어수로부터 상기 피크 암페어수까지 상기 LED 전류(ILED2)의 증가를 제어하는 단계; 및양의 방향으로 상기 LED 전류 감지 전압(VSEN1)에 의한 상기 상위 트립 전압(VUT)의 교차 각각에 응답하여, 상기 피크 암페어수로부터 상기 밸리 암페어수까지 상기 LED 전류(ILED2)의 감소를 제어하는 단계를 포함하는 평균 암페어수 조절 방법.
- 하나 이상의 LED를 통하여 흐르는 LED 전류(ILED2)의 평균 암페어수 - 상기 평균 암페어수는 상기 LED 전류(ILED)의 피크 암페어수와 밸리 암페어수의 평균임 - 를 조절하기 위한 LED 전류 제어 회로(50-54)로서, 상기 회로(50-54)는상기 하나 이상의 LED를 통하여 흐르는 상기 LED 전류(ILED)를 나타내는 LED 전류 감지 전압(VSEN1)을 설정하도록 동작 가능한 LED 전류 감지기(80-81);제어 교차 임계치들로서 상위 트립 전압(VUT) 및 하위 트립 전압(VLT)을 설정하도록 동작 가능하고, 상기 LED 전류 감지기(80-81)와 전기적으로 통신하여 상기 LED 전류 감지 전압(VSEN1)을 수신하는 이력 비교기(hysteretic comparator)(U3); 및상기 하나 이상의 LED를 통하는 상기 LED 전류(ILED2)의 흐름을 제어하도록 동작 가능하고, 상기 이력 비교기(U3)와 전기적으로 통신하여 스위칭 제어 전압(VSWC2)을 수신하는 스위치-모드 컨버터(70-74)를 포함하며,상기 이력 비교기(U3)는, 음의 방향으로 상기 LED 전류 감지 전압(VSEN1)에 의한 상기 하위 트립 전압(VLT)의 교차 각각에 응답하여, 제1 논리 레벨에서 스위칭 제어 전압(VSWC2)을 출력하도록 동작 가능하고,상기 이력 비교기(U3)는, 양의 방향으로 상기 LED 전류 감지 전압(VSEN1)에 의한 상기 상위 트립 전압(VUT)의 교차 각각에 응답하여, 제2 논리 레벨에서 스위칭 제어 전압(VSWC2)을 출력하도록 동작 가능하며,상기 스위치-모드 컨버터(70-74)는, 상기 제1 논리 레벨과 같은 상기 스위칭 제어 전압(VSWC2)에 응답하여 상기 밸리 암페어수로부터 상기 피크 암페어수까지 상기 LED 전류(ILED2)의 증가를 제어하고,상기 스위치-모드 컨버터(70-74)는, 상기 제2 논리 레벨과 같은 상기 스위칭 제어 전압(VSWC2)에 응답하여 상기 피크 암페어수로부터 상기 밸리 암페어수까지 상기 LED 전류(ILED2)의 감소를 제어하는 LED 전류 제어 회로(50-54).
- 삭제
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 스위치-모드 컨버터(71)는, 상기 이력 비교기(U3)와 전기적으로 통신하여 상기 스위칭 제어 전압(VSWC2)의 함수로서 개방되고 폐쇄되는 스위치(Q2)를 포함하는 LED 전류 제어 회로(51).
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 스위치-모드 컨버터(71)는 상기 하나 이상의 LED와 전기적으로 통신하는 유도성 출력 필터(L2)를 포함하는 LED 전류 제어 회로(51).
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 스위치-모드 컨버터(72)는 상기 하나 이상의 LED와 전기적으로 통신하는 용량성 출력 필터(C2)를 포함하는 LED 전류 제어 회로(52).
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 스위치-모드 컨버터(72)는,오실레이팅 전압(oscillating voltage)(VOS)을 출력하도록 동작 가능한 듀티 사이클 오실레이터(duty cycle oscillator)(110, 111);상기 이력 비교기(U3)와 전기적으로 통신하여 상기 스위칭 제어 전압(VSWC2)을 수신하고, 상기 듀티 사이클 오실레이터(110)와 전기적으로 통신하여 상기 오실 레이팅 전압(VOS)을 수신하는 논리 회로(110); 및상기 논리 회로(100)와 전기적으로 통신하여, 상기 스위칭 제어 전압(VSWC2) 및 상기 오실레이팅 전압(VOS)의 함수로서 개방되고 폐쇄되는 스위치(Q2)를 포함하는 LED 전류 제어 회로(51).
- 제7항에 있어서,상기 스위치-모드 컨버터(72)는,상기 스위치(Q2)와 전기적으로 통신하여, 상기 스위치(Q2)를 통하는 스위칭 전류(ISW)의 흐름을 나타내는 스위칭 전류 감지 전압(VSEN2)을 출력하는 스위칭 전류 감지기(120)를 더 포함하며,상기 듀티 사이클 오실레이터(111)는 상기 스위칭 전류 감지기(120)와 전기적으로 통신하여, 상기 스위칭 전류 감지 전압(VSEN2)의 함수로서 상기 오실레이팅 전압(VOS)을 출력하는 LED 전류 제어 회로(51).
- 제8항에 있어서,상기 듀티 사이클 오실레이터(111)는,상기 스위칭 전류 감지기(120)와 전기적으로 통신하여 상기 스위칭 전류 감지 전압(VSEN2)을 수신하고, 상기 스위칭 전류(ISW)의 최대 암페어수를 나타내는 기준 전압(VREF3)에 대한 상기 스위칭 전류 감지 전압(VSEN2)의 비교 함수로서 스위칭 전류 제한 전압(VCL)을 제공하도록 동작 가능한 비교기(U4); 및상기 비교기(U4)와 전기적으로 통신하여 상기 스위칭 전류 제한 전압(VCL)을 수신하고, 클록 신호(CLK) 및 상기 스위칭 전류 제한 전압(VCL)의 함수로서 상기 오실레이팅 전압(VOS)을 출력하도록 동작 가능한 바이-스테이블 디바이스(bi-stable device; 112)를 포함하는 LED 전류 제어 회로(51).
- 하나 이상의 LED를 통하여 흐르는 LED 전류(ILED2)의 평균 암페어수 - 상기 평균 암페어수는 상기 LED 전류(ILED)의 피크 암페어수와 밸리 암페어수의 평균임 -를 조절하기 위한 LED 전류 제어 회로(50-54)로서, 상기 회로(50-54)는상기 하나 이상의 LED를 통하여 흐르는 상기 LED 전류(ILED)를 나타내는 LED 전류 감지 전압(VSEN1)을 설정하도록 동작 가능한 LED 전류 감지기(80-81);제어 교차 임계치들로서 상위 트립 전압(VUT) 및 하위 트립 전압(VLT)을 설정하도록 동작 가능하고, 상기 LED 전류 감지기(80-81)와 전기적으로 통신하여 상기 LED 전류 감지 전압(VSEN1)을 수신하는 이력 비교기(U3); 및스위칭 제어 전압(VSWC2)의 함수로서 상기 하나 이상의 LED를 통하는 상기 LED 전류(ILED2)의 흐름을 제어하기 위한 수단을 포함하는 스위치-모드 컨버터(70-74)를 포함하며,상기 이력 비교기(U3)는, 음의 방향으로 상기 LED 전류 감지 전압(VSEN1)에 의한 상기 하위 트립 전압(VLT)의 교차 각각에 응답하여, 제1 논리 레벨에서 스위칭 제어 전압(VSWC2)을 출력하도록 동작 가능하고,상기 이력 비교기(U3)는, 양의 방향으로 상기 LED 전류 감지 전압(VSEN1)에 의한 상기 상위 트립 전압(VUT)의 교차 각각에 응답하여, 제2 논리 레벨에서 스위칭 제어 전압(VSWC2)을 출력하도록 동작 가능한 LED 전류 제어 회로(50-54).
