- 음극(cathode), 및 호스트(host) 화합물과 도펀트(dopant) 화합물을 함유하는 발광층을 포함하며,상기 음극과 발광층 사이에는 1층 이상의 제1층이 형성되며,상기 도펀트 화합물은 인광성 화합물이고,상기 제1층은, 분자량이 500 내지 2000이고, 형광 극대 파장이 415 nm 이하이고, 분자 중의 수소 원자수와 불소 원자수의 총합(H+F)에 대한 불소 원자수(F)의 비(F/(H+F))가 0 내지 0.9인 제1 재료를 포함하는 것인 유기 전계발광 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1 재료의 분자량이 700 내지 2000인 유기 전계발광 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1 재료의 (F/(H+F))비가 0.1 내지 0.7인 유기 전계발광 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1 재료의 형광 극대 파장이 400 nm 이하인 유기 전계발광 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1층들 중 한 층이 발광층과 인접하는 것인 유기 전계발광 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 호스트 화합물의 형광 극대 파장이 415 nm 이하인 유기 전계발광 소자.
- 제6항에 있어서, 호스트 화합물의 형광 극대 파장이 400 nm 이하인 유기 전계발광 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 음극을 마주보는 발광층 측에 제공된 양극(anode)과, 이 양극과 발광층 사이에 형성된 1층 이상의 제2층을 추가로 포함하며, 이 제2층은 제2 재료로 구성되는 것인 유기 전계발광 소자.
- 제8항에 있어서, 제2 재료의 형광 극대 파장이 415 nm 이하인 유기 전계발광 소자.

- 전계발광에 따라 상이한 발광 극대 파장의 빛을 방출하는 2종 또는 그 이상의 유기 전계발광 소자를 포함하며,상기 유기 전계발광 소자 중 적어도 하나는 음극(cathode), 및 호스트 화합물과 도펀트 화합물을 함유하는 발광층을 포함하며, 상기 음극과 발광층 사이에는 1층 이상의 제1층이 형성되며, 상기 도펀트 화합물은 인광성 화합물이고, 상기 제1층은 분자량이 500 내지 2000이고, 형광 극대 파장이 415 nm 이하이고, 분자 중의 수소 원자수와 불소 원자수의 총합(H+F)에 대한 불소 원자수(F)의 비(F/(H+F))가 0 내지 0.9인 제1 재료를 포함하는 것인 유기 전계발광 소자인 것인 다색 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1층은 전자 수송층이고, 제1 재료는 분자량이 500 내지 2000이고, 형광 극대 파장이 415 nm 이하이고, 분자 중의 수소 원자수와 불소 원자수의 총합(H+F)에 대한 불소 원자수(F)의 비(F/(H+F))가 0 내지 0.9인 것인 유기 전계발광 소자.
- 제8항에 있어서, 제2층은 정공 수송층이고, 제2 재료는 형광 최대 파장이 415 nm 이하인 정공 수송 물질인 것인 유기 전계발광 소자.
