Abstract
Description
본 발명은 발광다이오드를 이용한 가로등의 냉각 구조에 관한 것으로 더욱 구체적으로는, 바람에 의한 냉각 효율성을 크게 향상시킴으로써, 발광다이오드를 이용한 가로등의 수명 연장과 에너지 효율성 향상을 동시에 달성할 수 있도록 한 발광다이오드를 이용한 가로등의 냉각 구조에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로 가로등에 사용되는 전구는 나트륨전구는 수은전구를 많이 사용하는데, 나트륨전구나 수은전구는 나름대로 장단점이 있어서 적절한 용도에 사용되기는 하나, 빛이 사방으로 흩어지는 경향이 커서 실제로 빛이 필요한 지면 부근의 휘도가 낮고, 그에 비해 전력 소모량은 많아서 에너지 효율성이 떨어지는 문제점이 있었다.
그리하여 최근에는 발광다이오드(Light Emitting Diode : LED)를 이용한 가로등이 개발되었는데, 발광다이오드를 이용한 가로등은 기존의 나트륨전구나 수은 전구를 이용한 가로등에 비해 전력 소모량은 현저히 낮으면서도 밝기는 기존 가로등과 동일한 성능 이상을 가지고 있을 뿐만 아니라, 수명은 기존 나트륨전구나 수은전구를 이용한 가로등과 대비할 때 몇 배 이상 연장되기 때문에 관리 비용도 크게 줄일 수 있게 되어 사용이 증가하고 있을 뿐만 아니라, 기존 가로등과의 교체도 크게 증가하고 있는 실정이다.
이처럼 최근 가로등에 사용되고 있는 발광다이오드는 고휘도와 기존 전구 대비 낮은 소비전력 및 긴 수명을 장점으로 가로등 뿐만 아니라, 실내용 조명, 장식용 조명, 차량용 조명 등 다양한 분야에서 그 사용이 크게 증가하고 있는 실정이다.
그런데 이러한 발광다이오드는 실제 하나의 발광다이오드만으로는 가로등이 요구하는 고휘도 충족시킬 수 없기 때문에 고휘도를 위해서 주로 수 개에서 많게는 수십 개의 발광다이오드를 서로 연결하여 모듈로 구성하고, 이렇게 구성된 모듈을 직렬 또는 병렬로 연결하여 하나의 램프를 구성함으로써 가로등과 같은 조명이 요구하는 고휘도를 충족시킬 수 있게 된다.
그러나, 이처럼 다수 개의 발광다이오드로 구성된 모듈을 연결한 발광다이오드 조명을 장시간 점등하게 되면 내열성이 낮은 발광다이오드가 열에 의해 손상되어 조명이 고장나는 경우가 발생하기 때문에 발광다이오드를 이용한 조명의 경우에는 반드시 발광다이오드의 열을 방산시켜 램프의 과열로 인한 고장을 방지하기 위한 냉각 구조를 갖추어야 하기 때문에 발광다이오드를 이용한 가로등을 제조하는 업체마다 고유 기술을 이용하여 발광다이오드의 열 방산을 구현하고 있다.
종래의 발광다이오드를 이용한 가로등의 냉각 구조는 주로 방열성이 우수한 알루미늄 소재로 된 파티션 보드에 발광다이오드를 설치하여 발광다이오드의 점등시 발생하는 열을 알루미늄 소재로 된 파티션 보드를 이용해 냉각시키는 냉각 구조로 이루어져 있다.
그러나 이와 같은 종래의 냉각 구조는 단순히 알루미늄 소재로 된 파티션 보드에 발광다이오드를 직접 부착한 구성으로 이루어져 있기 때문에 열전도 속도가 매우 느릴 뿐만 아니라 발광다이오드에서 열이 전도된 알루미늄 소재로 된 파티션 보드도 별도의 냉각 수단이 없기 때문에 냉각이 신속하게 이루어지지 못하여 냉각 효율이 크게 떨어지는 문제점이 있었다.
인쇄회로기판(1)에 통공부(101)를 형성하여 그 내부에는 열전달부재(2)를 충진하고, 통공부(101) 하부에는 발광다이오드(4)를 설치하며, 통공부(101) 상부에는 열전달판(3)을 설치하여 발광다이오드(4)에서 발생한 열이 열전달부재(2)를 통해 열전달판(3)으로 전달되게 하고,
방열케이스(5) 내부에 설치부(5a)를 형성하여 그 설치부(5a) 내부에 상기 인쇄회로기판(1)을 설치하여 방열케이스(5) 내부에 일체로 형성된 열전달부(501)가 상기 열전달판(3) 상면에 밀착되게 하고, 방열케이스(5)의 상면에는 냉각핀(502)를 형성하며,
상기 방열케이스(5)의 저면에 설치되는 반사판(6)에는 상기 발광다이오드(4)가 관통하는 반사부(601)를 형성하고, 반사부(601)와 또 다른 반사부(601) 사이에는 방열핀(602)을 형성한 구성이다.
한편, 상기 열전달부재(2)는 납을 사용하는 것을 포함한다.
또한, 상기 방열케이스(5) 상부에는 상면에 냉각핀(701)을 형성한 보조방열판(7)을 나사 결합하는 것을 포함한다.
또한, 상기 반사판(6) 외표면에는 알루미늄 증착 도금한 것을 포함한다.
또한, 방열케이스(5) 하단부에는 투명체로 된 보호커버(8)를 설치하는 것을 포함한다.
본 발명은 발광다이오드를 이용한 가로등의 냉각 구조를 효율적으로 개선하여 가로등의 점등으로 발생하는 고열을 신속하고 빠르게 냉각시킴으로써, 가로등의 고장을 방지하고, 내구성을 크게 향상시킬 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 발광부 구조 개선을 통해 휘도 손실을 억제함으로써, 에너지 효율성을 향상시킬 수 있는 효과가 있다.
첨부도면 도 1은 본 발명의 주요 구성을 나타낸 정면 단면 예시도이며, 첨부도면 도 2는 도 1의 '가' 부분 확대 단면 예시도로서 도면에서 도시한 바와 같이 본 발명은 하부에 설치부(5a)를 형성하고, 상면에는 냉각핀(502)을 형성한 알루미늄재로 된 방열케이스(5)의 설치부(5a) 내부에 인쇄회로기판(1)을 설치하여 그 인쇄회로기판(1)에 일정 간격으로 다수의 발광다이오드(4)를 설치하되, 발광다이오드(4)의 작동 과정에서 발생한 열을 방열케이스(5)로 전달함으로써, 방열케이스(5)에 의해 신속한 냉각이 이루어질 수 있도록 한 것이다.상기 발광다이오드(4)에서 발생할 열을 외부로 발산시키기 위해 본 발명에서는 열전달 유닛을 구비하며, 상기 열절달 유닛은 인쇄회로기판에 형성되는 통공부(101)와 그 내부에 충진되는 열전달부재(2), 열전달판(3), 열전달부(501)를 포함하여 이루어진다. 이 구성에 대해서는 아래에서 구체적으로 설명한다.
즉, 본 발명에서 발광다이오드(4)가 설치되는 인쇄회로기판(1)의 전면에는 일정한 간격으로 발광다이오드(4)를 설치하게 된다.
이때, 발광다이오드(4)가 설치될 위치에는 통공부(101)를 형성하여 그 내부에 납과 같이 열전도성이 우수한 열전달부재(2)를 충진하고, 통공부(101) 상면에는 상기 열전달부재(2)와 밀착되면서 열전달부재(2)와 마찬가지로 열전도성이 우수한 열전달판(3)을 설치함으로써, 발광다이오드(4)가 점등되면서 발생한 열은 발광다이오드(4)가 설치된 위치에 형성된 통공부(101)를 채우고 있는 열전달부재(2)에 전달된 후, 그 열전달부재(2)와 밀착되도록 인쇄회로기판(1) 상부에 설치된 열전달판(3)으로 신속하게 전달된다.
한편, 인쇄회로기판(1)이 설치된 방열케이스(5)는 내부에 봉 형상으로 된 열전달부(501)가 일체로 돌출되게 형성되어 있어서 상기와 같이 방열케이스(5)의 설치부(5a) 내부에 인쇄회로기판(1)을 설치하게 되면, 열전달부(501)의 저면이 인쇄 회로기판(1)의 상면에 설치된 열전달판(3)의 상면에 밀착된다.
따라서, 발광다이오드(4)가 점등하면서 발생한 열이 열전달판(3)까지 전해진 상태에서 상기와 같이 열전달판(3) 상면에 열전달부(501)가 밀착되어 있기 때문에 열전달판(3)의 열이 열전달부(501)를 타고 방열케이스(5)로 전달된다.
이처럼 발광다이오드(4)의 점등 과정에서 발생한 열은 열전달부재(2), 열전달판(3), 열전달부(501)를 거쳐서 방열케이스(5)로 전달되는데, 방열케이스(5)는 상면에 다수의 냉각핀(502)을 형성하여 그 냉각핀(502)을 외부에 노출함으로써, 방열케이스(5)의 신속한 냉각이 이루어지기 때문에 방열케이스(5)의 과열 및 발광다이오드(4)의 과열을 방지하게 된다.
아울러, 발광다이오드(4)가 점등되면서 발생한 열이 열전달부재(2)와 열전달판(3)으로 전달되는 동안에도 인쇄회로기판(1)은 상기 열전달부재(2)나 열전달판(3)에 비해 열전도성이 크게 떨어지기 때문에, 인쇄회로기판(1)의 과열 뿐만 아니라 발광다이오드(4) 자체의 과열도 방지할 수 있기 되어 과열로 인한 발광다이오드(4)의 고장이나 발광다이오드(4)의 점등에 필요한 회로부의 고장을 방지할 수 있게 되는 것이다.
또한, 방열케이스(5) 저면에는 발광다이오드(4)가 끼워져 발광다이오드(4)의 빛을 반사하는 반사부(601)를 형성한 반사판(6)을 발광다이오드(4)와 밀착되게 설 치하게 되는데, 반사부(601)와 반사부(601) 사이에는 방열핀(602)을 형성함으로써, 발광다이오드(4)의 점등 과정에서 발생한 열이 반사판(6)으로 전달된 후, 반사판(6)에 형성된 방열핀(602)에 의해 냉각되게 함으로써, 발광다이오드(4)에 대한 냉각 성능을 더욱 향상시킬 수 있게 되는 것이다.
아울러, 반사판(6)의 반사부(601)는 나팔형으로 형성하고, 반사판(6) 외표면에는 알루미늄 증착 도금을 수행하여 반사율을 향상시킴으로써, 발광다이오드(4)가 점등하면서 발생한 빛이 반사부(601)를 통해 효과적으로 조사되게 함으로서, 휘도 손실을 최소화하여 발광다이오드(4) 차체의 휘도를 최대한으로 유지할 수 있기 때문에 우수한 에너지 효율성을 유지할 수 있게 된다. 또한, 도 2에서 명백하게 도시하듯이 상기 반사부(601)의 수직길이(높이)는 상기 발광다이오드(4)를 둘러쌀 수 있도록 상기 발광다이오드(4)보다 더 길게 형성되는 것이 바람직하다. 불필요한 빛의 누설을 방지하여 필요한 영역만을 조광시키고, 외부의 보행자의 눈부심을 해소하여 운전 등에 방해를 주지 않게 할 수 있기 때문이다.
첨부도면 도 3은 본 발명의 또 다른 실시 예를 나타낸 것으로서, 도면에서 도시한 바와 같이 방열케이스(5) 상부에는 보조방열판(7)을 나사 결합할 수 있게 되는데, 이처럼 방열케이스(5) 상부에 보조방열판(7)을 나사 결합하게 되면, 보조방열판(7)이 방열케이스(5) 상면에 완전히 밀착되면서 방열케이스(5)의 냉각 효율성을 높일 수 있게 된다.
즉, 보조방열판(7) 상면에도 방열케이스(5)와 같이 다수의 냉각핀(701)을 형성함과 동시에 보조방열판(7)의 소재도 열전도성이 우수한 알루미늄 소재로 제작하게 되면, 방열케이스(5)에서 전달되는 열을 빠르게 냉각시킬 수 있기 때문에 방열케이스(5)의 냉각 효율성을 높일 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 장기간 외부에 노출됨으로 인해 상면에 각종 먼지나 오염물 등이 쌓여서 냉각 효율성이 저하될 경우에는 보조방열판(7)만을 분리하여 세척한 후 재결합함으로써, 냉각 효율성이 저하되는 것을 방지할 수 있게 된다.
아울러, 방열케이스(5) 하단부에는 투명체로 된 보호커버(8)를 고정클립(9)으로 설치하거나 접착 등의 방법으로 설치할 수 있는데, 이처럼 보호커버(8)를 설치하면 발광다이오드(4) 표면에 벌레 등의 이물질이 묻어서 오염되는 것을 방지함으로써, 이물질 등으로 인한 휘도 감소를 방지할 수 있게 된다.
