Description
Claims (14)
- 다중 경로 채널을 통해 CDMA 신호를 수신하는 CDMA 수신기에 있어서,수신된 CDMA 신호를 대응하는 복수의 경로를 통해 역확산하는 복수의 RAKE 브랜치; 및상기 복수의 RAKE 브랜치 각각에 선택적으로 연결되어, 대응하는 경로를 통해 수신된 상기 CDMA 신호의 지연을 트래킹하는 트래킹 디바이스를 포함하며,상기 트래킹 디바이스는 상기 다중 경로 채널 상에 수신된 전력 레벨의 측정치에 기초하여 적응적으로 결정되는 선택 비율로 상기 복수의 RAKE 브랜치에 연결되는 CDMA 수신기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 트래킹 디바이스는 일정한 비율(rate)로 상기 복수의 RAKE 브랜치에 연결되는 CDMA 수신기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 트래킹 디바이스는 대응하는 RAKE 브랜치에서 수신된 전력 레벨이 미리 정해진 임계치보다 낮을 때마다 상기 복수의 RAKE 브랜치에 연결되는 CDMA 수신기.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 수신된 전력 레벨은 하나 이상의 심볼을 통해 측정되 는 CDMA 수신기.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 수신된 전력 레벨은 수개의 심볼로부터의 평균치에 기초하는 CDMA 수신기.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 일정한 선택 비율은 심볼 기간, 슬롯 기간, 및 프레임 기간으로부터 선택된 기간에 기초하는 CDMA 수신기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 트래킹 디바이스는 채널 통계에 기초한 비율로 상기 RAKE 브랜치를 통해 연속적으로 또는 비연속적으로 스위핑함으로써 상기 복수의 RAKE 브랜치에 연결되는 CDMA 수신기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 트래킹 디바이스는 초기/후기 게이트(early/late gate; ELG) 트래킹 디바이스인 CDMA 수신기.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 트래킹 디바이스는 타우-디더(tau-dither) 트래킹 디바이스인 CDMA 수신기.
- CDMA 신호를 트래킹하는 방법에 있어서,복수의 RAKE 브랜치를 사용하여 로컬 PN 코드로 수신된 신호를 역확산하는 단계;수신된 채널 상의 전력 레벨의 측정치에 기초하여 적응적으로 결정되는 선택 비율로 상기 복수의 RAKE 브랜치 각각에 단일 트래킹 디바이스를 선택적으로 연결하는 단계; 및상기 단일 트래킹 디바이스를 사용하여 상기 수신된 신호를 트래킹하는 단계를 포함하는 CDMA 신호 트래킹 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 트래킹 디바이스는, 일정 시간 동안 채널 조건에 현저한 변화가 있을 때마다 채널 통계에 기초한 비율로 상기 RAKE 브랜치를 통해 연속적으로 또는 비연속적으로 스위핑함으로써 상기 복수의 RAKE 브랜치에 연결되는 CDMA 신호 트래킹 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 선택 비율은, 채널 조건이 일정 시간 동안 느리게 변할 때마다 일정한 CDMA 신호 트래킹 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 트래킹 디바이스는 초기/후기 게이트(ELG) 트래킹 디바이스인 CDMA 신호 트래킹 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서, 상기 트래킹 디바이스는 타우-디더 트래킹 디바이스인 CDMA 신호 트래킹 방법.
