Claims (7)
- 복수의 주사선과, 복수의 데이터선과, 상기 복수의 주사선과 상기 복수의 데이터선의 교차에 대응하여 마련된 복수의 화소를 구비하고, 전체 화면을 표시하는 전면 표시 모드와, 상기 전체 화면 중 일부 영역을 표시 영역으로 하고, 나머지 영역을 비표시 영역으로 하는 부분 표시 모드가 선택 가능한 전기 광학 장치에 있어서,상기 화소는 화소 전극과, 상기 주사선에 선택 전압이 인가된 때에 상기 데이터선과 상기 화소 전극을 도통 상태로 하는 스위칭 소자를 갖고,상기 주사선을 소정 순서로 선택하는 선택 전압을 공급하는 주사선 구동 회로와,상기 주사선이 선택되었을 때에 상기 데이터선에 화소의 계조에 따라 화상 신호를 공급하는 데이터선 구동 회로를 구비하며,상기 주사선 구동 회로는, 상기 전면 표시 모드에서는, 상기 표시 영역의 주사선에 대하여 제 1 전압을 소정 기간 공급하고, 상기 부분 표시 모드에서는, 상기 표시 영역의 주사선에 대하여 제 2 전압을 상기 소정 기간보다 긴 기간 공급하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제 2 전압은 상기 제 1 전압보다 낮은 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 부분 표시 모드에서,상기 주사선 구동 회로는 상기 비표시 영역의 주사선에 대하여 소정 프레임 기간마다 선택 전압을 공급하고, 또한상기 데이터선 구동 회로는 당해 선택 전압이 공급되었을 때에 오프 전압을 상기 비표시 영역의 데이터선에 공급하는것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 제 1 전압 및 상기 제 2 전압을 생성하는 전원 회로를 더 구비하고,상기 전원 회로는 입력되는 전압을 승압하여, 상기 제 1 전압 및 상기 제 2 전압을 생성하는 차지 펌프 회로를 구비하는것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치.
- 제 4 항에 있어서,상기 차지 펌프 회로는 직렬로 접속된 복수단의 승압 회로를 구비하고,상기 제 1 전압은 상기 복수단 중 최종단의 승압 회로에서 생성되고,상기 제 2 전압은 상기 복수단 중 중간의 승압 회로에서 생성되는것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치.
- 청구항 1 내지 3 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 전기 광학 장치를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전자기기.
- 복수의 주사선과, 복수의 데이터선과, 상기 복수의 주사선과 상기 복수의 데이터선의 교차에 대응하여 마련된 복수의 화소를 구비하고, 전체 화면을 표시하는 전면 표시 모드와, 상기 전체 화면 중 일부 영역을 표시 영역으로 하고, 나머지 영역을 비표시 영역으로 하는 부분 표시 모드가 선택 가능한 전기 광학 장치의 구동 방법에 있어서,상기 화소는 화소 전극과, 상기 주사선에 선택 전압이 인가된 때에 상기 데이터선과 상기 화소 전극을 도통 상태로 하는 스위칭 소자를 갖고,상기 주사선을 소정 순서로 선택하는 선택 전압을 공급하는 단계와,상기 주사선이 선택되었을 때에 상기 데이터선에 화소의 계조에 따라 화상 신호를 공급하는 단계와,상기 전면 표시 모드에서는, 상기 표시 영역의 주사선에 대하여 제 1 전압을 소정 기간 공급하는 단계와,상기 부분 표시 모드에서는, 상기 표시 영역의 주사선에 대하여 제 2 전압을 상기 소정 기간보다 긴 기간 공급하는 단계를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치의 구동 방법.
