- 전기 광학 소자의 계조(階調)를 제어하는 데이터 신호를 생성하는 신호 처리 회로로서,상기 전기 광학 소자의 계조를 지정하는 계조 데이터로부터 계조 신호를 생성하는 제1 D/A 변환 수단과,계조 신호에 대한 보정값을 나타내는 보정 데이터를 기억하는 기억 수단과,상기 제1 D/A 변환 수단과는 분해능(分解能)이 다르고, 상기 기억 수단에 기억된 보정 데이터로부터 보정 신호를 생성하는 제2 D/A 변환 수단과,상기 제1 D/A 변환 수단이 생성한 계조 신호와 상기 제2 D/A 변환 수단이 생성한 보정 신호를 합성해서 데이터 신호를 생성하는 합성 수단을 구비하는 신호 처리 회로.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 합성 수단은 상기 제1 D/A 변환 수단이 생성한 계조 신호와 상기 제2 D/A 변환 수단이 생성한 보정 신호를 가산하는 가산 수단을 구비하는 신호 처리 회로.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 제1 D/A 변환 수단 및 상기 제2 D/A 변환 수단은 모두 전류 신호 및 전 압 신호 중 어느 하나를 생성하는 신호 처리 회로.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제1 D/A 변환 수단은 상기 계조 데이터에 따른 펄스 폭의 계조 신호를 생성하고,상기 제2 D/A 변환 수단은 상기 보정 데이터에 따른 펄스 폭의 보정 신호를 생성하고,상기 합성 수단은 제1 기간에서 상기 계조 신호를 출력하는 동시에, 상기 제1 기간에 이어지는 제2 기간에서 보정 신호를 출력하는 신호 처리 회로.

- 제 8 항에 있어서,상기 각 전기 광학 소자는 복수의 표시색 중 어느 하나에 대응하고,상기 복수의 신호 처리 회로 중 하나의 표시색에 대응하는 신호 처리 회로에서의 제2 D/A 변환 수단은 제1 분해능 조정 신호에 따라 분해능이 변화하고,상기 복수의 신호 처리 회로 중 다른 표시색에 대응하는 신호 처리 회로에서의 제2 D/A 변환 수단은 상기 제1 분해능 조정 신호와는 다른 제2 분해능 조정 신호에 따라 분해능이 변화하는 데이터선 구동 회로.
- 제 8 항에 있어서,상기 제2 D/A 변환 수단은, 분해능 조정 신호의 전압 레벨에 대응하는 전류를 각각 생성하되, 각각이 별개의 가중값으로 가중된 전류를 생성하는 전류원(電流源)과, 상기 복수의 전류를 상기 보정 데이터에 따라 선택하는 선택 회로를 구비하고, 상기 선택 회로가 선택한 전류에 기초하여 보정 신호를 생성하는 데이터선 구동 회로.
- 제 8 항에 있어서,상기 제2 D/A 변환 수단은 분해능 조정 신호의 레벨을 기준으로 하여 복수의 전압을 생성하는 전압 생성 회로와, 상기 복수의 전압 중 어느 하나를 상기 보정 데이터에 따라 선택하는 선택 회로를 구비하고, 상기 선택 회로가 선택한 전압에 기초하여 보정 신호를 생성하는 데이터선 구동 회로.
- 제 8 항에 있어서,상기 분해능 조정 신호는 클록(clock) 신호이며,상기 제2 D/A 변환 수단은 상기 분해능 조정 신호의 주기를 기준으로 하여 각각이 별개의 가중값으로 가중된 펄스 폭을 갖는 복수의 펄스 신호를 생성하는 펄스 신호 생성 회로와, 상기 복수의 펄스 신호 중 1개 이상의 펄스 신호를 상기 보정 데이터에 따라 선택하는 선택 회로를 구비하고, 상기 선택 회로가 선택한 펄스 신호에 기초하여 보정 신호를 생성하는 데이터선 구동 회로.
- 복수의 주사선과 복수의 데이터선의 각 교차에 대응해서 배열된 복수의 전기 광학 소자와, 상기 복수의 주사선의 각각을 차례로 선택하는 주사선 구동 회로와, 각각이 데이터선에 데이터 신호를 공급하는 복수의 신호 처리 회로를 포함하는 데이터선 구동 회로를 구비하고,상기 각 신호 처리 회로는,상기 전기 광학 소자의 계조를 지정하는 계조 데이터로부터 계조 신호를 생성하는 제1 D/A 변환 수단과,계조 신호에 대한 보정값을 나타내는 보정 데이터를 기억하는 기억 수단과,상기 제1 D/A 변환 수단과는 분해능이 다르고, 상기 기억 수단에 기억된 보정 데이터로부터 보정 신호를 생성하는 제2 D/A 변환 수단과,상기 제1 D/A 변환 수단이 생성한 계조 신호와 상기 제2 D/A 변환 수단이 생성한 보정 신호를 합성해서 데이터 신호를 생성하는 합성 수단을 구비하는 전기 광학 장치.
- 제 13 항에 기재된 전기 광학 장치를 구비하는 전자 기기.
- 각각이 데이터 신호에 따른 계조가 되는 복수의 전기 광학 소자가 배열된 전기 광학 장치를 구동하는 방법으로서,상기 전기 광학 소자의 계조를 지정하는 계조 데이터로부터 제1 D/A 변환에 의해 계조 신호를 생성하고,기억 수단에 기억된 보정 데이터로부터, 상기 제1 D/A 변환과는 분해능이 다른 제2 D/A 변환에 의해 보정 신호를 생성하고,상기 제1 D/A 변환에 의해 생성한 계조 신호와 상기 제2 D/A 변환에 의해 생성한 보정 신호를 합성해서 데이터 신호를 생성하는 전기 광학 장치의 구동 방법.
