Abstract

본 발명에 따른 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어의 조립구조는, 일면이 개구된 에어백 하우징과, 상기 에어백 하우징의 개구된 일면에 구비되는 에어백 도어와, 상기 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어가 서로 슬라이딩 끼움 방식으로 조립될 수 있도록 하는 슬라이드 끼움수단을 포함하여 구성되기 때문에 상기 에어백 도어를 상기 에어백 하우징을 향해 슬라이딩시키는 동작만으로 조립이 완료되어 조립성이 향상될 수 있고, 상기 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어의 조립시 외력에 의한 상기 에어백 도어의 변형이 없기 때문에 파손 및 조립 불량이 방지될 수 있다.

본 발명은 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어의 조립구조에 관한 것으로서, 특히 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어가 슬라이딩 끼움방식으로 상호 조립되는 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어의 조립구조에 관한 것이다.
도 1은 종래 기술에 따른 에어백장치의 단면도이다.
도 1에 도시된 에어백장치는 인스트루먼트 패널(2)에 차 실내와 대향되게 배치되고 상기 인스트루먼트 패널(2) 측 상면이 개방된 에어백 하우징(4)과. 상기 에어백 하우징(4)의 상부에 수납된 쿠션(6)과, 사기 에어백 하우징(4)의 하부에 설치되어 충돌 사고시 상기 쿠션(6)을 차 실내를 향해 전개시키는 인플레이터(8)와, 상기 인스트루먼트 패널(2)에 개폐 가능토록 설치된 에어백 도어(10)로 이루어진다.
상기 에어백 도어(10)는 상기 인스트루먼트 패널(2)에 형성된 에어백 홀(2a)에 고정되고, 상기 쿠션(6)이 전개될 때 찢어질 수 있도록 테어 라인(tear line)(10a)이 형성된다.
그리고, 상기 에어백 하우징(2)이 인스트루먼트 패널(2)에 의해 지지될 수 있도록, 상기 에어백 도어(10)에는 상기 에어백 하우징(4)의 외측면과 대향되어 상기 에어백 하우징(4)의 외측에 구비된 후크(3)와 후크 결합되는 도어 리브(12)가 구비된다. 이와 같이 구성된 도어 리브(12)는, 상기 에어백 하우징(4)의 좌,우 양측면과 각각 연결될 수 있도록 좌,우 한쌍으로 이루어지는데, 상기 도어 리브(12) 사이로 상기 에어백 하우징(4)이 삽입될 때 상기 에어백 하우징(4)의 후크(3)에 의 해 상기 에어백 하우징(4)으로부터 탄력적으로 벌어지고, 상기 에어백 하우징(4)의 후크(3)가 상기 도어 리브(12)와 후크 결합되면 다시 원상태로 복원될 수 있는 재질로 성형되어야 한다.
상기와 같이 구성된 에어백 장치는 충돌 사고가 발생되면, 상기 인플레이터(8)에 의해 상기 쿠션(6)을 차 실내를 향해 전개시킴으로써 쿠션 작용에 의해 차 실내의 탑승자를 안전하게 보호한다. 물론, 상기 쿠션(6)이 차 실내를 향해 전개되면, 상기 쿠션(6)의 전개압력에 의해 상기 에어백 도어(10)가 테어 라인(10a)을 따라 찢어지기 때문에 상기 쿠션(6)이 상기 에어백 도어(10)를 뚫고 차 실내로 원활하게 전개될 수 있다.
그러나, 상기한 바와 같은 종래 기술은 상기 에어백 하우징(4)의 후크(3)가 도어 리브(12)와 후크 결합될 때, 상기 도어 리브(12)가 상기 에어백 하우징(4)의 후크(3)에 의해 변형되면서 벌어지기 때문에 파손될 수 있거나, 소성 변형되어 상기 에어백 하우징(4)과 견실히 연결되지 못할 수 있는 문제점이 있다.
본 발명은 상기한 종래 기술의 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 안출된 것으로서, 에어백 도어와 에어백 하우징이 결합될 때, 조립 불량을 줄일 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 조립성이 향상될 수 있는 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어의 조립구조를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다.
상기한 과제를 해결하기 위한 본 발명에 따른 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어의 조립구조는, 일면이 개구된 에어백 하우징과; 상기 에어백 하우징의 개구된 일면에 구비되는 에어백 도어와; 상기 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어가 서로 슬라이딩 끼움 방식으로 조립될 수 있도록 하는 슬라이드 끼움수단을 포함하여 구성된다.
이하, 본 발명의 실시 예를 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 상세히 설명한다.
도 2는 본 발명에 따른 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어의 조립구조가 도시된 사시도이고, 도 3은 본 발명에 따른 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어의 조립구조가 도시된 단면도이고, 도 4는 도 3의 A-A방향 단면도이다.
도 2 내지 도 4에 도시된 본 발명에 따른 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어의 조립구조가 적용된 에어백 장치는, 인스트루먼트 패널(I)을 중심으로 차실과 대향되게 배치되고 상기 인스트루먼트 패널(I) 측 일면이 개구된 에어백 하우징(50)과, 상기 에어백 하우징(50)에 수납되어 충돌 사고시 전개 압력을 형성시키는 인플레이터(52)와, 상기 에어백 하우징(50)에 수납되어 전개 압력에 의해 차실을 향해 전개되는 쿠션(54)과, 상기 인스트루먼트 패널(I)에 에어백 하우징(50)과 대응되게 형성된 에어백 홀(h)에 배치되어 상기 에어백 하우징(50)의 개구된 면을 덮는 에어백 도어(56)와, 상기 에어백 도어(56)와 에어백 하우징(50)을 슬라이딩 끼움 방식으로 조립시키는 슬라이드 끼움수단(60)을 포함하여 구성된다.
상기 쿠션(54)은 상기 쿠션 리테이너(55)를 통해 상기 에어백 하우징(50)에 조립된다.
상기 에어백 도어(56)에는 상기 인스트루먼트 패널(I)에 고정될 수 있도록 복수개의 후크(56a)가 형성되고, 상기 쿠션(54)이 전개될 때 찢어질 수 있도록 테어 라인(56b)이 형성된다.
상기 슬라이드 끼움수단(60)은 상기 에어백 하우징(50)의 측면에 각각 구비되고 전후방향으로 긴 슬라이드 홈(62a)을 갖는 슬라이드 레일(62)과, 상기 에어백 도어(56)에 구비되어 상기 슬라이드 레일(62)의 슬라이드 홈(62a)에 전후방향으로 슬라이딩 끼움될 수 있는 슬라이더(64)로 이루어질 수 있다.
상기 슬라이드 레일(62)은 상기 에어백 하우징(50)에 수납되는 인플레이터(52) 또는 쿠션(54), 쿠션 리테이너(55)와 간섭되지 않도록 상기 에어백 하우징(56)으로부터 외측으로 돌출되는 것이 바람직하다.
상기 슬라이드 레일(62)에는 외측면에 상기 슬라이더(64) 일부가 좌우방향으로 돌출될 수 있도록, 상기 슬라이드 홈(62a)과 연통되는 슬라이드 홀(62b)이 구비된다.
상기 슬라이드 레일(62)의 슬라이드 홈(62a)은 상기 슬라이더(64)가 전후방향으로 슬라이딩 끼움될 수 있도록, 적어도 전단 또는 후단이 개구된다.
한편, 상기 슬라이드 레일(62)에는 상기 에어백 하우징(50)과 에어백 도어(56)의 조립시 상기 슬라이더(64)의 슬라이딩 끼움길이를 제한할 수 있는 스토퍼 (70)가 구비될 수 있다.
상기 스토퍼(70)는 상기 에어백 하우징(50)과 에어백 도어(56)의 조립이 끝나는 상기 슬라이드 홈(62a)의 일측에 상기 슬라이드 홈(62a)을 막는 리브 형상으로 구비될 수 있다.
따라서, 상기 슬라이더(64)가 전방에서 후방을 향해 상기 슬라이드 레일(62)의 슬라이드 홈(62a)에 슬라이딩 끼움될 수 있도록, 상기 슬라이드 홈(62a)의 전단이 개구되고 상기 슬라이더 홈(62b)의 후단에 상기 스토퍼(70)가 구비될 수 있다.
상기 슬라이더(64)는 상기 에어백 하우징(50)의 측면 일부를 덮을 수 있도록 상기 에어백 도어(56)에 일체로 구비된 슬라이더 패널(65)에 의해 지지될 수 있다.
상기 슬라이더(64)는 상기 슬라이드 레일(62)의 슬라이드 홈(62a)에 슬라이딩 끼움되는 끼움부(64a)와, 상기 끼움부(64a)에서 수직하게 돌출되어 상기 슬라이더 패널(65)과 연결되고 상기 슬라이드 레일(62)의 슬라이드 홀(62b)에 끼워지는 돌출부(64b)로 이루어질 수 있다.
상기한 슬라이드 레일(62)과 슬라이더(64)는 상기 에어백 하우징(50)과 에어백 도어(56)가 서로 사방으로 유동 가능토록 일정 공차를 갖는 것이 좋다.
상기와 같이 구성된 본 발명에 따른 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어의 조립과정을 살펴보면, 다음과 같다.
상기 슬라이더(64)의 끼움부(64a)가 상기 슬라이드 레일(62)의 슬라이드 홈(62a)에 끼워질 수 있도록, 상기 에어백 하우징(50)과 에어백 도어(56)의 조립 위 치를 정렬하고, 그 상태에서 상기 슬라이더(64)가 상기 스토퍼(70)와 만날 때까지 상기 에어백 도어(56)를 상기 에어백 하우징(50)을 향해 민다. 그러면, 상기 슬라이더(64)가 상기 슬라이드 레일(62)에 전후방향으로 슬라이딩 끼움되어, 상기 에어백 하우징(50)과 에어백 도어(56)의 조립이 완료된다.
한편, 상기 에어백 하우징(50)과 에어백 도어(56)의 조립 후, 상기 에어백 도어(56)가 상기 에어백 하우징(50)과 조립된 상태에서 상기 인스트루먼트 패널(I)의 에어백 홀(h)에 배치되어 상기 인스트루먼트 패널(I)과 일체로 조립되고, 이후 상기 에어백 하우징(50)이 상기 에어백 도어(56)와 조립된 상태에서 차체에 조립된다.
상기와 같이 구성되는 본 발명에 따른 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어의 조립구조는, 일면이 개구된 에어백 하우징과, 상기 에어백 하우징의 개구된 일면에 구비되는 에어백 도어와, 상기 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어가 서로 슬라이딩 끼움 방식으로 조립될 수 있도록 하는 슬라이드 끼움수단을 포함하여 구성되기 때문에 상기 에어백 도어를 상기 에어백 하우징을 향해 슬라이딩시키는 동작만으로 조립이 완료되어 조립성이 향상될 수 있고, 상기 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어의 조립시 외력에 의한 상기 에어백 도어의 변형이 없기 때문에 파손 및 조립 불량이 방지될 수 있는 이점이 있다.

Claims (4)

  1. 일면이 개구된 에어백 하우징과; 상기 에어백 하우징의 개구된 일면에 구비되는 에어백 도어와; 상기 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어가 서로 슬라이딩 끼움 방식으로 조립될 수 있도록 하는 슬라이드 끼움수단을 포함하여 구성되고,
    상기 슬라이드 끼움수단은 상기 에어백 하우징에 구비되고 슬라이드 홈을 갖는 슬라이드 레일과; 상기 에어백 도어에 구비되어 상기 슬라이드 레일의 슬라이드 홈에 슬라이딩 끼움될 수 있는 슬라이드로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어의 조립구조.

    상기 슬라이드 레일은, 상기 에어백 하우징으로부터 외측으로 돌출된 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어의 조립구조.
  4. 제 1 항 또는 제 3 항에 있어서,
    상기 슬라이드 레일에는 상기 슬라이드의 슬라이딩 끼움길이를 제한할 수 있는 스토퍼가 구비된 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백 하우징과 에어백 도어의 조립구조.
