Claims (13)
- 트위스트 배향을 가질 수 있는 밴드 배향 상태를 이용하여 광 투과율을 변화시켜 표시를 수행하는 액정 표시소자용 액정 배향막을 형성하기 위한 액정 배향제 와니스로서, 당해 와니스가 한 종류 이상의 고체 미립자를 함유하고, 당해 고체 미립자의 함유량이 와니스의 용제 건조후의 고형분량에 대하여 0.1 내지 90.0중량%임을 특징으로 하는 액정 배향제 와니스.
- 제1항에 있어서, 고체 미립자가 무기 고체 미립자인 액정 배향제 와니스.
- 제1항에 있어서, 고체 미립자가 금속 미립자 또는 금속 산화물 미립자인 액정 배향제 와니스.
- 제1항에 있어서, 고체 미립자가 C, Mg, Al, Si, Ca, Ti, V, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, As, Zr, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ag, Cd, In, Sn, Sb, Ce, W, Os, Ir, Pt 및 Au로부터 선택된 한 종류 이상의 원소를 포함하는 무기 고체 미립자인 액정 배향제 와니스.
- 제1항에 있어서, 고체 미립자가 유기 고체 미립자인 액정 배향제 와니스.
- 제1항에 있어서, 고체 미립자의 평균 입자 직경이 1 내지 500nm인 액정 배향제 와니스.
- 제1항 내지 제6항 중의 어느 한 항에 따르는 액정 배향제 와니스를 기판 위에 도포한 다음, 건조하고, 탈수·폐환 반응을 위해 가열하는 방법으로부터 수득된 액정 배향막.
- 고체 미립자를 함유하지 않는 액정 배향제 와니스를 기판 위에 도포한 후, 용제를 건조시켜 박막을 형성하고, 박막의 표면에 분산제에 분산시킨 고체 미립자를 분산시켜 배향막을 제조하거나, 또는 고체 미립자를 함유하는 액정 배향제 와니스를 기판 위에 도포한 후, 당해 박막 위에 추가로 고체 미립자를 분산시켜 배향막을 제조하는 방법으로부터 수득되는, 고체 미립자가 건조된 와니스의 고형분량에 대하여 0.1 내지 90.0중량%의 양으로 기판 위에 분산되어 이루어진 액정 배향막.
- 제7항에 따르는 액정 배향막을 사용하는 액정 표시소자로서, 트위스트 배향을 가질 수 있는 밴드 배향 상태를 이용하여 광 투과율을 변화시켜 표시를 수행하는 액정 표시소자.
- 제8항에 따르는 액정 배향막을 사용하는 액정 표시소자로서, 트위스트 배향을 가질 수 있는 밴드 배향 상태를 이용하여 광 투과율을 변화시켜 표시를 수행하는 액정 표시소자.
- 제9항 또는 제10항에 있어서, 고체 미립자의 1차 입자 직경 또는 2차 입자 직경이 배향막 두께의 0.1 내지 500배인 액정 표시소자.
- 제9항 또는 제10항에 있어서, 전압 무인가(無印加)시에 고체 미립자의 주변에 배향 결함이 없음을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시소자.
- 제9항 또는 제10항에 있어서, 전압 인가(印加)시에 고체 미립자가 스플레이 배향 상태(splay orientation state)로부터 밴드 배향 상태로 전이하는 핵으로 됨을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시소자.
