Claims (3)
- 상부 및 하부 클래드 층 및 0차 이상의 고차모드를 지지하는 코어 층을 구비하는 직선 도파로와, 상기 도파로에 대하여 틸트각(α)으로 상기 도파로를 가로질러 배치되는 선형 히터를 포함하고, 0차 광도파 모드를 m차 광도파 모드로 변환시키기 위하여, 상기 히터의 틸트각(α)과 m차 모드 진행각 θm이 α> θm/2의 조건을 만족시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 고차 모드 발생기.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 코어 층 및 클래드 층들은 실리카 또는 폴리머로 만들어지며, 외부 조절은 상기 히터를 통해 전류가 흐르게 하는 것에 의한 온도 변화에 따른 굴절율 변화를 이용하여 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 고차 모드 발생기.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 도파로 물질은 LINBO3또는 전기광학 폴리머로 만들어지고, 외부 조절은 상기 히터에 인가되는 전압에 따른 굴절율 변화를 이용하여 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 고차 모드 발생기.
