팩시밀리에 있어서 전화모드상태에서 주변의 가청신호가 검출되지 않을시 팩스모드나 팩스/응답모드로 절환하는 기술이다.
2. 발명이 해결하고자 하는 기술적 과제
팩시밀리가 전화모드로 선택된 상태에서 사용자가 부재중인 경우 화상 데이터를 수신할 수 없는 문제를 해결한다.
3. 발명의 해결방법의 요지
팩시밀리가 전화모드로 선택되어 있는 상태에서 주변의 가청신호가 검출되지 않을시 수신모드를 팩스모드 또는 팩스/응답모드로 절환한다.
4. 발명의 중요한 용도
자동모드 절환기능이 부가된 팩시밀리에 적용한다.

Description

가청신호 감지에 의해 수신모드를 자동으로 절환하는 팩시밀리 장치 및 그 제어방법

본 발명은 팩시밀리에서 수신모드 자동절환방법에 관한 것으로, 특히 전화모드(TEL MODE)로 선택된 상태에서 주변에 가청주파신호가 감지되지 않을 시 자동으로 팩스모드(FAX MODE)로 전환하는 팩시밀리 장치 및 그 제어방법에 관한 것이다.
일반적으로 팩시밀리는 모드선택 스위치에 의해 전화모드(TEL MODE)와 팩스모드(FAX MODE) 및 팩스/응답모드(ANS/FAX MODE)를 선택하도록 구성되어 있으며, 팩스모드로 선택하여야만 화상데이터를 수신할 수 있도록 되어 있다.
따라서 팩시밀리가 전화모드로 선택된 상태에서 사용자가 부재중인 경우 전화모드에서 팩스모드로 변경시킬수 없게 되므로 화상데이터를 수신할수 없는 문제점이 있었다.
따라서 본 발명의 목적은 상기와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위해 사용자 부재중으로 감지될 시 전화모드를 팩스모드로 변경시키는 팩시밀리장치 및 그 제어방법을 제공함에 있다.
본 발명의 다른 목적은 전화모드로 선택된 상태에서 주변의 가청신호가 검출되지 않을 시 자동으로 팩스모드나 팩스/응답모드로 변경하는 팩시밀리장치 및 그 제어방법을 제공함에 있다.
상기 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명의 팩시밀리장치는, 주변 가청신호의 유무를 검출하는 수단과, 상기 가청신호가 설정된 시간동안 검출되지 않을시 전화모드를 팩스모드나 팩스/응답모드로 변경시키도록하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로한다.
상기 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명의 수신모드 절환방법은, 주변 가청신호의 검출이 설정된 시간동안 없을시 전화모드를 팩스모드나 팩스/응답모드로 변경시키도록함을 특징으로 한다.
이하 본 발명을 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 상세히 설명한다.
제1도는 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 팩시밀리장치의 블럭구성도로서, 제어부(10)는 소정프로그램에 따라 전화모드로 선택된 상태에서 주변의 가청신호가 검출되지 않을시 팩스모드 또는 팩스/응답모드로 변경하도록 제어하고, 각종 표시 제어데이터를 발생한다. OPE(OPERATION PANNEL)(12)는 모드선택키, 전화번호 입력키등을 구비하고, 상기 키데이터 발생시 상기 제어부(10)로 입력시키며, 상기 제어부(10)의 제어에 의해 데이터를 표시하는 표시장치를 구비한다. 메모리(14)는 전화모드에서 팩스모드 또는 팩스/응답모드로 전환하기 위한 프로그램을 저장하며, 상기 제어부(10)의 제어에 의해 데이터를 억세스하거나 저장한다. 스캐너(16)는 원고를 스캐닝하여 원고에 대한 화상을 2치화 정보로 변환하여 CPU(10)로 인가한다. 프린팅부(18)는 CPU(10)의 제어에 의해 기록지에 화상데이터를 프린팅한다. 모뎀(20)은 상기 CPU(10)의 제어를 받아 송출 데이터를 아나로그 변조 출력하고, 아나로그 수신 데이터를 복조 출력한다. LIU(Line Interface Unit)(18)는 상기 CPU(10)의 제어에 따라 동작되어 전화라인의 통화루프를 형성하고, 상기 모뎀(20)의 신호와 상기 전화라인의 신호를 인터페이싱한다. 수신모드 선택부(26)는 상기 제어부(10)의 제어에 의해 팩스모드, 팩스/응답모드 또는 전화모드로 스위칭 선택한다. 마이크로폰(28)은 가청신호를 입력하여 전기 적신호로 변환하여 출력한다. 밴드패스필터(BPF)(30)는 상기 마이크로폰(28)으로부터 전기적신호로 변환된 신호를 가청주파수 대역이외의 노이즈등을 차단하도록 가청주파수 대역의 신호만을 통과시킨다. 증폭기(32)는 밴드패스필터(30)로부터 통과된 신호를 소정 레벨로 증폭하여 출력한다. 가청신호 검출기(34)는 상기 증폭기(32)로부터 증폭된 신호레벨을 입력하여 설정된 기준 가청신호레벨과 비교한 후 가청신호의 유무를 검출하여 상기 제어부(10)로 인가한다.
제2도는 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 주변의 가청신호 검출이 없을시 수신모드를 자동으로 절환하기 위한 제어 흐름도로서, 팩시밀리에서 모드자동 절환기능이 설정되어 있을시 가청신호의 검출이 설정된 시간동안 없을시 전화모드를 팩스모드나 팩스/응답모드로 변경시키도록 한다.
상술한 제1도 내지 제2도를 참조하여 본 발명의 바람직한 일실시예의 동작을 상세히 설명한다.
일반적으로 OPE(12)의 모드선택키는 사용자가 누를시마다 전화모드(TEL MODE), 팩스모드(FAX MODE), 팩스/응답모드(ANS/FAX MODE)를 순차적으로 선택된다. 따라서 사용자가 원하는 모드를 선택하게 되는데, 모드선택키가 입력될때마다 해당모드를 나타내는 메세지를 OPE(12)의 표시장치에 표시한다. 여기서 팩스모드(FAX)는 팩스전용으로 사용하는 경우이며, 팩스가 자동으로 수신되는 기능이다. 팩스/응답모드(ANS/FAX MODE)는 부재중임을 알리는 메시지를 송출하고, 수신되는 음성메세지를 녹음한 후 자동으로 팩스수신 상태로 전환하는 기능이다.
먼저 101단계에서 제어부(10)는 OPE(12)의 키입력부로부터 모드자동절환기능 설정키에 의해 모드자동 절환기능이 설정되었는가 검사하여 모드 자동 절환기능이 설정되어 있지 않으면 102단계로 진행한다. 상기 102단계에서 제어부(10)는 현재 설정되어 있는 모드로 동작을 한다. 예를 들어 수신모드 선택부(26)의 선택된 현재모드가 전화모드로 설정되어 있으면 전화모드에 대한 동작을 수행하고, 팩스모드로 설정되어 있으면 팩스모드에 대한 동작을 수행한다.
그러나, 상기 101단계에서 모드자동 절환기능이 설정되어 있지 않으면 103단계로 진행하여 팩시밀리가 설치된 장소의 주변에 대한 가청신호를 검출한다. 상기 가청신호는 마이크로폰(28)을 통해 입력되어 전기적신호로 변환되어 밴드패스필터(30)로 인가된다. 상기 밴드패스필터(30)는 가청주파수 대역만을 통과시키고 노이즈등의 신호를 차단한다. 이때 증폭기(32)는 상기 밴드패스필터(30)로부터 출력되는 신호를 소절레벨로 증폭하여 가청신호 검출부(34)로 출력한다. 따라서 가청신호 검출부(34)는 비교기나 멀티바이브 레이터로 구성할 수 있다. 만약 비교기로 구성할시 설정된 기준가청신호의 레벨과 상기 증폭기(32)로부터 증폭된 레벨을 비교하여 가청신호의 유무를 검출한다. 그러나 가청신호 검출부(34)가 멀티바이브 레이터로 구성되어 있는 경우에는 가청신호가 없을 경우에 상기 증폭기(32)로부터 출력되는 신호가 없게되어 로우상태로 유지되므로 펄스를 발생함에 의해 가청신호의 유무를 검출한다. 이렇게 상기 가청신호 검출기(34)에서 가청신호의 유무를 검출하는데, 104단계에서 제어부(10)는 설정된 시간동안 가청신호가 검출되지 않는지 검사하여 가청신호가 검출되면 101단계로 돌아가고, 가청신호가 검출되지 않으면 팩시밀리가 설치된 위치에 사람이 없는 것으로 판단한다. 팩시밀리가 설치된 위치에 사람이 없는 것으로 판단되면 105단계에서 제어부(10)는 수신모드 선택부(26)의 현재 선택된 모드 전화모드인가 검사하여 전화모드가 아니면 프로그램을 종료한다. 그러나 상기 105단계에서 전화모드이면 제어부(10)는 수신모드 선택부(26)를 제어하여 전화모드를 팩스모드 또는 팩스/응답모드로 변경시킨다. 그런후 107단계에서 제어부(10)는 변경된 모드상태를 OPE(12)의 표시장치에 표시한다.
상술한 바와 같이 본 발명은 팩시밀리가 전화모드로 선택되어 있는 상태에서 모드변경을 하지 않아도 주변의 가청주파대역의 신호가 검출되지 않을시 사람이 부재중인 것으로 판단하여 자동으로 팩스모드나 팩스/응답모드로 변경하여 부재중에 사용자 실수로 모드절환을 하지 않을 경우에도 문서수신을 할 수 있으며, 또한 부재중에 자동으로 팩스모드 또는 팩스/응답모드로 변경하여 시스템을 편리하게 사용할 수 있는 이점이 있다.

Claims (7)

  1. 가청신호 감지에 의해 수신모드를 자동으로 절환하는 팩시밀리 장치에 있어서, 상기 팩시밀리장치가 설치된 주변의 가청신호의 유무를 검출하는 가청신호 검출수단과, 상기 가청신호 검출수단으로부터 가청신호가 검출되지 않을시 자동으로 전화모드에서 팩스모드로 변경하도록 제어하는 제어수단을 포함함을 특징으로 하는 팩시밀리 장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 가청신호 검출수단은, 가청신호를 입력하여 전기적신호로 변환하여 출력하는 마이크로폰과, 상기 마이크로폰으로부터 전기적신호로 변환된 신호를 가청주파수 대역이외의 노이즈등을 차단하도록 가청주파수 대역의 신호만을 통과시키는 밴드패스필터와, 상기 밴드패스필터로부터 통과된 신호레벨을 입력하여 설정된 기준 가청신호레벨과 비교한 후 가청신호의 유무를 검출하여 상기 제어 수단으로 출력하는 가청신호 검출기로 구성함을 특징으로 하는 팩시밀리장치.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 가청신호 검출기는, 비교기로 구성함을 특징으로 하는 팩시밀리장치.
  4. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 가청신호 검출기는, 멀티바이브 레이터로 구성함을 특징으로하는 팩시밀리장치.
  5. 주변의 가청신호 감지유무에 의해 수신모드를 자동으로 절환하는 팩시밀리장치에 있어서, 주변 가청신호의 유무를 검출하는 수단과, 상기 가청신호가 설정된 시간동안 검출되지 않을시 전화모드를 팩스모드나 팩스/응답모드로 변경시키도록하는 수단을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 팩시밀리장치.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 가청신호 검출수단은, 가청신호를 입력하여 전기적신호로 변환하여 출력하는 마이크로폰과, 상기 마이크로폰으로부터 전기적신호로 변환된 신호를 가청주파수 대역이외의 노이즈등을 차단하도록 가청주파수 대역의 신호만을 통과시키는 밴드패스필터와, 상기 밴드패스필터로부터 통과된 신호레벨을 입력하여 설정된 기준 가청신호레벨과 비교한 후 가청신호의 유무를 검출하여 상기 제어수단으로 출력하는 가청신호 검출기로 구성함을 특징으로 하는 팩시밀리장치.
  7. 팩시밀리에서 주변의 가청신호 감지유무에 의해 수신모드를 자동으로 절환제어하는 방법에 있어서, 주변 가청신호의 검출이 설정된 시간동안 없을시 전화모드를 팩스모드나 팩스/응답모드로 변경시키도록함을 특징으로 하는 수신모드 자동 절환제어방법.
