Description
以下、サーマルヘッドX1について図1〜7を参照して説明する。図2では、保護層25、被覆部材29、被覆層27、フレキシブル配線基板5(以下、FPC(Flexible printed Circuits)5と称する)、およびコネクタ31を省略して一点鎖線で示している。また、図4では、わかりやすいように、被覆部材29の図示を省略している。図5では、駆動IC11の図示を省略している。
図9を用いて、第2の実施形態に係るサーマルヘッドX2について説明する。なお、サーマルヘッドX1と同一の部材については同一の符号を付し、説明を省略する。サーマルヘッドX2では、被覆層227がサーマルヘッドX1の被覆層27と構成が異なっている。

Claims (14)
- 基板と、
前記基板上に位置する発熱部と、
前記基板上に位置し、前記発熱部に繋がる電極と、
平面視して、前記電極の少なくとも一部を被覆する被覆層と、
前記被覆層上に位置する被覆部材と、を備え、
前記被覆層は、上面と、前記発熱部側に位置する側面とを有しており、
前記側面の算術表面粗さRaが、前記上面の算術表面粗さRaよりも大きいことを特徴とするサーマルヘッド。 - 前記側面の最大高さRzが、前記上面の最大高さRzよりも大きい、請求項1に記載のサーマルヘッド。
- 前記上面の平均長さRSmが、前記側面の平均長さRSmよりも小さい、請求項1または2に記載のサーマルヘッド。
- 互いに離間した複数の第1凸部が、前記側面に設けられており、
互いに離間した複数の第2凸部が、前記上面に設けられており、
隣り合う前記第1凸部の間隔が、隣り合う前記第2凸部の間隔よりも小さい、請求項1または2に記載のサーマルヘッド。 - 前記側面が、前記基板の厚み方向に対して傾斜しており、
前記側面に溝が設けられており、平面視して、前記溝が副走査方向に長い形状である、請求項4に記載のサーマルヘッド。 - 前記基板の厚み方向および主走査方向に沿った断面において、
前記第1凸部の頂点分布の平均線が、前記側面の粗さ曲線の平均線よりも上方に位置している、請求項4または5に記載のサーマルヘッド。 - 前記上面に、窪み部が設けられており、

前記発熱部上を通過するように記録媒体を搬送する搬送機構と、
前記記録媒体を押圧するプラテンローラと、を備えることを特徴とするサーマルプリンタ。
