Fe2O3 0.7〜3.5%、
FeO 0.2〜1%、
TiO2 0.1〜3.2%、
CoO 0.01〜0.04%、
Se 0.005%以下、
Cr2O3 0.08%以下、
NiO 0.2%以下、
を含有し、レドックス([Fe2O3に換算した二価鉄(Fe2+)]/[Fe2O3に換算した二価鉄(Fe2+)とFe2O3に換算した三価鉄(Fe3+)の合計])が15〜40%であり、
板厚2.8mmでの、ISO9050:2003で規定された紫外線透過率(TUV)が2%以下、
板厚2.8mmでの標準A光源に基づく可視光透過率(TVA)が10%以上30%以下であり、
板厚2.8mmでの、JIS R 3106:1998で規定されたエネルギー透過率(TE)が30%以下であり、
ISO9050:1990およびJIS Z8726:1990で規定された演色評価数の比R14/R9が1.8以上であり、R14/R1が1.05以上である、紫外線吸収性ガラスを提供する。

- 酸化物基準の質量%表示で、
SiO2 66〜75%、
Na2O 10〜20%、
CaO 5〜15%、
MgO 0〜6%、
Al2O3 0〜5%、
K2O 0〜5%、
Fe2O3 0.7〜3.5%、
FeO 0.2〜1%、
TiO2 0.1〜3.2%、
CoO 0.01〜0.04%、
Se 0.005%以下、
Cr2O3 0.08%以下、
NiO 0.2%以下、
を含有し、レドックス([Fe2O3に換算した二価鉄(Fe2+)]/[Fe2O3に換算した二価鉄(Fe2+)とFe2O3に換算した三価鉄(Fe3+)の合計])が15〜40%であり、
板厚2.8mmでの、ISO9050:2003で規定された紫外線透過率(TUV)が2%以下、

- 板厚2.8mmでの、ISO9050:2003で規定された前記紫外線透過率(TUV)が1%以下である、請求項1または2に記載の紫外線吸収性ガラス。
- 板厚2.8mmでの、標準A光源に基づく前記可視光透過率(TVA)が12〜28%である、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の紫外線吸収性ガラス。

A/Bが1.8以上であり、かつ、A/Cが1.05以上である、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の紫外線吸収性ガラス。ここで、角括弧で囲まれた成分の表示は、紫外線吸収性ガラスに含まれるその成分の含有量(酸化物基準の質量%)を表す。 - Fe2O3に換算した全鉄の含有量が、酸化物基準の質量%表示で1.5%以上である、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の紫外線吸収性ガラス。
- Fe2O3に換算した全鉄の含有量が、酸化物基準の質量%表示で2.0%以上である、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の紫外線吸収性ガラス。
- 板厚2.8mmでの、JIS Z 8701:1999で規定された主波長(λD)が500nm以上である、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の紫外線吸収性ガラス。
