Abstract
Description
以下、本発明の蓄電装置を二次電池に具体化した第1の実施形態を図1〜図5にしたがって説明する。以下の説明では、上方及び下方を、図1に示すようにそれぞれ定義する。
まず、電極組立体12を形成する。その後、正極タブ群17aに正極導電部材32を溶接してから、正極導電部材32に正極端子30を溶接する。また、負極タブ群27aに負極導電部材42を溶接してから、負極導電部材42に負極端子40を溶接する。次に、負極導電部材42と正極導電部材32とに絶縁部材50の本体部51を被せて、負極導電部材42と正極導電部材32とに絶縁部材50を一体化する。この状態で、正極端子30の雄ねじと負極端子40の雄ねじとを蓋11bにそれぞれ貫通させる。そして、正極の雄ねじにナット31を螺合し、負極の雄ねじにナット41を螺合する。こうして、蓋11bに、正極端子30及び負極端子40が締結される
その結果、図4に示すように、蓋11bと、正極導電部材32と、負極導電部材42と、正極端子30と、負極端子40と、絶縁部材50とが一体化されて、蓋端子部材60が構成される。蓋11bは、絶縁部材50によって各導電部材32,42と絶縁されている。蓋端子部材60は、正極タブ群17a及び負極タブ群27aによって電極組立体12と繋がっている。
(1)電極収納セパレータ20の底側当接部20b及び負極電極24の第2の縁部24bがケース11の内底面11dに当接し、蓋端子部材60の絶縁部材50が電極収納セパレータ20の蓋側当接部20aに当接する。この構成によれば、二次電池10の製造時、蓋端子部材60と一体化した電極組立体12をケース本体11aに押し込むとき、電極収納セパレータ20の蓋側当接部20aが蓋端子部材60に当接して撓むことで、蓋端子部材60を押し込む力が吸収される。これにより、蓋端子部材60を押す力が弱まり、電極収納セパレータ20の底側当接部20b及び負極電極24の第2の縁部24bがケース11の内底面11dに衝突することを回避できる。
次に、本発明の蓄電装置を二次電池に具体化した第2の実施形態を図6〜図8にしたがって説明する。第2の実施形態は、第1の実施形態と同様の部分についてはその詳細な説明を省略する。以下の説明では、上方及び下方を、図6に示すようにそれぞれ定義する。
(7)電極収納セパレータ20の底側当接部20b及び負極電極24の第2の縁部24bがケース11の内底面11dに当接し、蓋端子部材60の第2正極絶縁部材70及び保護部材86が電極収納セパレータ20の蓋側当接部20aに当接する。この構成によれば、二次電池10の製造時、蓋端子部材60と一体化した電極組立体12をケース本体11aに押し込むとき、電極収納セパレータ20の蓋側当接部20aが蓋端子部材60に当接して撓むことで、蓋端子部材60を押し込む力が吸収される。これにより、蓋端子部材60を押す力が弱まり、電極収納セパレータ20の底側当接部20b及び負極電極24の第2の縁部24bがケース11の内底面11dに衝突することを回避できる。
各実施形態において、正極活物質層16の全面が負極活物質層26に対峙していれば、負極電極24の第2の縁部24bはケース本体11aの内底面11dに当接していなくてもよい。
二次電池10は、リチウムイオン二次電池であったが、これに限らず、他の二次電池であってもよい。要するに、正極活物質と負極活物質との間をイオンが移動するとともに電荷の授受を行うものであればよい。
Claims (5)
- 正極電極及び負極電極が互いにセパレータで絶縁された状態で積層され、前記正極電極及び前記負極電極はそれらの一辺から突出した未塗工部を有する電極組立体と、
前記電極組立体及び前記未塗工部を収容するための開口部を有する有底箱状のケース本体と、
前記ケース本体の開口部を閉塞するための蓋と、
前記蓋に固定され、前記電極組立体と電気を授受する電極端子と、
前記未塗工部と前記電極端子とを電気的に接続する導電部材とを備え、
前記蓋と、前記電極端子と、前記導電部材とを一体化して蓋端子部材が構成され、
前記蓋端子部材は、前記未塗工部を介して前記電極組立体と一体化され、
前記電極組立体は、前記ケース本体の内底面に当接する底側当接部を有し、
前記セパレータは、前記蓋端子部材に当接する蓋側当接部を有し、
前記蓋側当接部は、前記負極電極の未塗工部の突出方向に前記負極電極の一辺よりも突出している、蓄電装置。 - 請求項1記載の蓄電装置において、
前記正極電極、前記負極電極、及び前記セパレータは矩形シート状であり、
前記セパレータは、前記正極電極を両面から挟む矩形シート状のセパレータ部材同士が接合されて構成され、
前記セパレータ部材は、前記正極電極の未塗工部の突出方向に前記正極電極の一辺よりもはみ出した第1はみ出し部と、前記第1はみ出し部のはみ出し方向とは異なる方向に夫々はみ出した第2はみ出し部とを有し、
前記蓋側当接部は、前記第1はみ出し部同士を接合した部位であり、
前記底側当接部は、前記ケース本体の内底面に向けてはみ出した前記第2はみ出し部同士を接合した部位である、蓄電装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の蓄電装置において、
前記底側当接部は、前記セパレータ及び前記負極電極によって構成され、
前記セパレータの底側当接部は、前記負極電極の底側当接部と、前記ケース本体の内底面に沿った同一面上に位置している、蓄電装置。 - 請求項1〜3のうちいずれか一項に記載の蓄電装置において、
前記蓄電装置は二次電池である、蓄電装置。 - 請求項1〜4のうちいずれか一項に記載の蓄電装置は、更に、
前記蓋と前記導電部材とを絶縁する絶縁部材を備える、蓄電装置。
