Claims (9)
- 電解質膜(24)の両側に電極(26、28)が設けられた電解質膜・電極構造体(12)を挟持するセパレータ(14、16)の外周に、シール部材(40、42)が一体に設けられるとともに、セパレータ面内には、少なくとも燃料ガス、酸化剤ガス又は冷却媒体である流体を前記セパレータ(14)と前記電解質膜・電極構造体(12)との積層方向に流通させる流体連通孔(18a)が形成される燃料電池用セパレータであって、
前記セパレータ(14)の外周端部に、前記流体連通孔(18a)の外方で且つ該セパレータ(14)の全周に亘って樹脂部材(36A)が設けられるとともに、
前記セパレータ(14)の両面には、前記樹脂部材(36A)の一部を覆って前記シール部材(40)が設けられることを特徴とする燃料電池用セパレータ。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池用セパレータにおいて、前記樹脂部材(36A)は、前記セパレータ(14)の外周端部の外側に位置し、一対のシール部材成形用金型(62、64)と接触する凸部(36t)を有することを特徴とする燃料電池用セパレータ。
- 請求項1又は2記載の燃料電池用セパレータにおいて、前記樹脂部材(36A)は、前記シール部材(40)の外周部と前記積層方向に重なり合う重なり部(36ka)を設けることを特徴とする燃料電池用セパレータ。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の燃料電池用セパレータにおいて、前記樹脂部材(36A)には、樹脂部材成形用の樹脂流動部(36g)が複数箇所に設けられるとともに、
互いに隣接する前記樹脂流動部(36g)間には、セパレータ面方向外方に突出する膨出部(36d)が設けられることを特徴とする燃料電池用セパレータ。 - 電解質膜(24)の両側に電極(26、28)が設けられた電解質膜・電極構造体(12)を挟持するセパレータ(14、16)の外周に、シール部材(40、42)が一体に設けられるとともに、セパレータ面内には、少なくとも燃料ガス、酸化剤ガス又は冷却媒体である流体を前記セパレータ(14)と前記電解質膜・電極構造体(12)との積層方向に流通させる流体連通孔(18a)が形成される燃料電池用セパレータの製造方法であって、
前記セパレータ(14)の外周端部に、前記流体連通孔(18a)の外方で且つ該セパレータ(14)の全周に亘って樹脂部材(36A)を設ける工程と、
前記樹脂部材(36A)を一対の金型(62、64)で挟持した状態で、溶融シール部材を供給することにより、前記セパレータ(14)の両面に前記樹脂部材(36A)の一部を覆って前記シール部材(40)を成形する工程と、
を有することを特徴とする燃料電池用セパレータの製造方法。 - 請求項5記載の製造方法において、前記樹脂部材(36A)は、前記セパレータ(14)の外周端部の外側に位置し、前記一対の金型(62、64)と接触する凸部(36t)を有することを特徴とする燃料電池用セパレータの製造方法。
- 請求項5又は6記載の製造方法において、前記樹脂部材(36A)は、前記シール部材(40)の外周部と前記積層方向に重なり合う重なり部(36ka)を設けることを特徴とする燃料電池用セパレータの製造方法。
- 請求項5〜7のいずれか1項に記載の製造方法において、一対の樹脂部材成形用金型(52、54)間に前記セパレータ(14)を挟持した状態で、金型合わせ面方向から溶融樹脂部材が供給されて前記樹脂部材(36A)を成形することを特徴とする燃料電池用セパレータの製造方法。
- 請求項5〜8のいずれか1項に記載の製造方法において、前記樹脂部材(36A)には、樹脂部材成形用の樹脂流動部(36g)が複数箇所に設けられるとともに、
互いに隣接する前記樹脂流動部(36g)間には、セパレータ面方向外方に突出する膨出部(36d)が設けられることを特徴とする燃料電池用セパレータの製造方法。
