Abstract
Description
図1〜図3を参照して、この実施例のRFIDシステムは、UHF帯をキャリア周波数とするUHF帯RFIDシステムであって、RFIDタグ16が取り付けられた物品12を一方向に搬送する搬送台(搬送ベルト10)と、電磁波を放射する漏洩同軸ケーブル14とを含む。漏洩同軸ケーブル14は、RFIDタグ16からタグ情報を読み取り、またはRFIDタグ16にタグ情報を書き込むために、搬送ベルト10の上方に固定的に配置される(詳細は後述)。したがって、漏洩同軸ケーブル14は、この実施例のRFIDシステムにおいて固定式RWアンテナとして利用される。

Claims (12)
- 一方向に搬送される物品に取り付けられたRFIDタグの情報を近くに配置された固定式RWアンテナを利用して読み取る、RFIDタグ付き物品の読み取り方法であって、
前記固定式RWアンテナとしてケーブル状の進行波アンテナを用い、
前記進行波アンテナをその少なくとも一部が前記物品の搬送方向を横切るように配置して、前記進行波アンテナの周囲に形成される電磁界を利用して、前記RFIDタグの情報を読み取る、RFIDタグ付き物品の読み取り方法。 - 前記ケーブル状の進行波アンテナを前記物品の周囲を巻回するように配置する、請求項1記載のRFIDタグ付き物品の読み取り方法。
- 前記ケーブル状の進行波アンテナを少なくとも2箇所が前記物品の搬送方向を横切るように配置する、請求項1または2記載のRFIDタグ付き物品の読み取り方法。
- 前記ケーブル状の進行波アンテナを、前記物品の搬送方向に対して蛇行するように、あるいは、前記物品の搬送方向の周囲にヘリカル状に配置する、請求項3記載のRFIDタグ付き物品の読み取り方法。
- 前記ケーブル状の進行波アンテナを、その先端部側が前記物品の搬送方向に沿って川下側に配置する、請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載のRFIDタグ付き物品の読み取り方法。
- 前記ケーブル状の進行波アンテナを、前記物品の搬送方向に沿って川上側よりも川下側を前記物品に近づけるように配置する、請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載のRFIDタグ付き物品の読み取り方法。
- RFIDタグが取り付けられた物品を一方向に搬送する搬送台と、前記物品に取り付けられた前記RFIDタグの情報を読み取るべく前記搬送台の近くに配置された固定式RWアンテナとを有するRFIDシステムであって、
前記固定式RWアンテナとしてケーブル状の進行波アンテナが利用されており、
前記進行波アンテナはその少なくとも一部が前記物品の搬送方向を横切るように配置されている、
RFIDシステム。 - 前記ケーブル状の進行波アンテナは前記搬送台の周囲を巻回するように配置されている、請求項7記載のRFIDシステム。
- 前記ケーブル状の進行波アンテナはその少なくとも2箇所が前記物品の搬送方向を横切るように配置されている、請求項7または8記載のRFIDシステム。
- 前記ケーブル状の進行波アンテナは、前記物品の搬送方向に対して蛇行するように、あるいは、前記搬送台の周囲にヘリカル状に配置されている、請求項9記載のRFIDシステム。
- 前記ケーブル状の進行波アンテナは、その先端部側が前記物品の搬送方向に沿って川下側に配置されている、請求項7ないし10のいずれかに記載のRFIDシステム。
- 前記ケーブル状の進行波アンテナは、前記物品の搬送方向に沿って川上側よりも川下側を前記物品に近づけるように配置されている、請求項7ないし11のいずれかに記載のRFIDシステム。
