Abstract
Description
以下、本発明のセラミック製刃物の一実施形態について図面を参照して詳細に説明する。
次に、本実施形態に係るセラミック製刃物の製造方法について説明する。
本実施形態に係るジルコニアセラミック製刃物の基材の原料は、ジルコニアを主成分とし、イットリア、シリカ、酸化ナトリウムおよびアルミナを特定の割合で含有する。
ジルコニア焼結体は、ジルコニア原料から成形体を作製する工程と、成形体を焼結する工程とを経て得ることができる。
本実施形態では、切刃部を有するジルコニアセラミック基材の切刃部の表面にスパッタリング法またはイオン注入法による処理で窒化物層を形成する第1工程と、窒化物層の表面にDLC層を形成する第2工程とを有する。
実施例において、基材1として、イットリアを2モル%、シリカを0.2質量%、酸化ナトリムを0.005質量%、アルミナを1質量%、残部をジルコニアとしたジルコニアセラミック製刃物を用意した。
硬度や摺動性およびDLC層2の密着性は、水熱劣化試験後(100℃、2時間後)のジルコニアセラミック製包丁について、本田式切れ味試験機(包丁先端で100Nを荷重)を用い、1度に切れる紙の枚数を100回測定して平均値を算出することで評価した。

Claims (10)
- 切刃部を有するジルコニアセラミック基材と、
前記切刃部の表面に形成された窒化物層と、
該窒化物層の表面に形成されたダイヤモンドライクカーボン層とを有するセラミック製刃物。 - 前記ダイヤモンドライクカーボン層は水素を含むアモルファス炭素構造を有している請求項1に記載のセラミック製刃物。
- 前記窒化物層を形成した前記切刃部の刃先が前記ダイヤモンドライクカーボン層から露出している請求項1または2に記載のセラミック製刃物。
- 前記窒化物層は窒化ジルコニウムを含む請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のセラミック製刃物。
- 前記窒化物層の厚さは、前記ダイヤモンドライクカーボン層の厚さ以下である請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のセラミック製刃物。
- 前記窒化物層の厚さと前記ダイヤモンドライクカーボン層の厚さとの比は、1:1〜1:10の割合である請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のセラミック製刃物。
- 前記窒化物層の厚さは0.1〜1μmである請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載のセラミック製刃物。
- 前記ダイヤモンドライクカーボン層の厚さは0.1〜10μmである請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載のセラミック製刃物。
- 切刃部を有するジルコニアセラミック基材の前記切刃部の表面にスパッタリング法またはイオン注入法による処理で窒化物層を形成する第1工程と、
前記窒化物層の表面にダイヤモンドライクカーボン層を形成する第2工程とを有するセラミック製刃物の製造方法。 - 前記第1工程と第2工程との間において、前記切刃部の刃先に沿ってマスキング材を塗布する請求項9に記載のセラミック製刃物の製造方法。
