Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce a loss of fuel and an amount of discharge of a hydrocarbon by injecting a fuel jet toward one side part which is opposite to an exhaust opening of a piston head. CONSTITUTION: Fuel is injected in a scavenging process of which air paths 2', 2 and air paths 3 are opened. And the fuel evaporates suddenly at the side of a piston head 6 which confronts to a cylinder chamber. Almost all of fuel is injected toward the one side part of the piston head 6 opposite to an exhaust hole 13, therefor evaporation of a fuel is generated at this position, and the fuel is repelled by the head 6, thereby a flow resisting the flow of a fuel jet 7. The flow forms some kinds of diaphragm which obstructs a flow escaping to the exhaust hole 13. Thereby, fuel leaking through the exhaust path 13 reduces, thereby hydrocarbon waste matter can be reduced.
