CONSTITUTION: On the wall 6 of a cylinder 2, an intake port 7, scavenging port 10, and an exhaust port 12 are arranged, and a scavenging passage i which communicates to the scavenging port 10 and a crank chamber 8 is formed vertically. An intake passage 13 is branched which is equipped with a reed valve 5 and communicates to the intake port 7, and said branched passage 11 is opened at the top end of the scavenging passage 9 in the vicinity of the scavenging port 10. In scavenging cycle, the mixed gas in the intake passage 13, with the mixed gas introduced into through the scavenging passage 9, is introduced into through the branched passage 11.
