Abstract
PURPOSE: To enrich air density and improve combustion efficiency by providing an air suction valve in a cylinder other than an intake valve and exhaust valve so that an additional air can be admitted in a mixture.
CONSTITUTION: In a cylinder head 12 of a cylinder 13, there are provided with three valves, that is, an exhaust valve 9, air suction valve 2 and intake valve 10. The air suction valve 2 is controlled by a cam 6 in such a manner that it may be closed before a piston reaches a bottom dead center, when a specific volume of mixture is sucked into the air suction valve 2 from the intake valve 10. When a mixture is sucked from the intake valve 10, any percent of air to the mixture is admitted to enrich the air density of the mixture, thereby improving combustion efficiency.
