Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce blowing-through of fresh gas and improve gas feeding efficiency by linking the scavenging cylinder with 2-cycle combustion cylinder and feeding compressed mixed-gas to the combustion cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: Two combustion pistons 7 and 8 are arranged oppositely in a combustion cylinder 2. A scavenging cylinder 22 is arranged in parallel to the combustion cylinder 2, and in the cylinder 22, two scavening pistons 31 and 32 are arranged. Each piston 7, 8, 31, 32 is linked with crack shafts 13 and 14. The mixed- gas formed in a carburetor 28 is compressed in the scavenging cylinder 22 and introduced into the combustion cylinder 2 from a passage 26 through a scavenging hole 3. The closing time of the scavenging hole 3 nearly accords with the top dead point of the scavenging piston, and further the closing time of an exhaust hole 4 is set at the same time or earlier than the closing time of the scavenging hole 3, and thus the blowing-through of the mixed-gas in the exhaust hole 4 is prevented.
