Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain improved superconducting property and a required strength and flexibility by interposing a nickel coat film between a superconducting material and a copper layer. CONSTITUTION:A square hollow 2 having an opening 2a is formed in a sheath pipe, on which hollow 2 a nickel coat film is formed at the inner peripheral face thereof. In this hollow 2, a Y-Ba-Cu-O powder composite oxide superconducting material 4 including CuxOy radical is for example filled, and the opening 2a is closed by a cap 5. Next, this pipe 1 is heated and rolled in a tape form, and the material 4 is coated with a copper layer 7, thereby an element tape 5 where the coat film 3 stays between the material 4 and the copper layer 7 is obtained. This tape 5 is heated to sinter and cool the material. It is thus posible to obtain such a superconducting tape 8 where the film stays between the core and the copper layer.
