Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a long size wire material with an even and excellent superconductive property by forming a copper oxide film and a mixture material layer on the surface of a base material which is made by forming a coverage layer of pure copper on the surface of a core material including a deoxidizer of copper, and applying a heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:A copper alloy including a deoxidizer of copper such as Al, Si, P, and Be is used as a core material 1, a coverage layer 2 of pure copper is formed on the surface of the core material 1, and a linear form, a tube-form, or a tape-form base material 3 is produced. Then, by oxidizing the base material 3, a copper oxide film 4 of such as Cu2O, CuO, and Cu2O3 is formed. After that, a mixture material layer 5 consisting of a mixture including an yttrium compound powder and a barium compound powder is formed on the surface of the copper oxide film 4. Then, a heat treatment is applied to the base material 3 formed with the copper oxide film 4 and the mixture material layers 5. By this heat treatment, elements including in the copper oxide film 4 and the mixture material layer 5 are diffused each other, and a superconductor layer 6 including the Y-Ba-Cu-O system superconductor is produced at the parts of the copper oxide film 4 and the mixture material layer 5 in the continued condition along the whole parts of the base material 3.
