Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an oxide superconducting wire with the critical temperature higher than before and excellent superconductivity by covering a porous conductor layer on the molded body of a compound or oxide superconductor having superconductivity by the heat treatment in the oxidizing atmosphere to form a composite body and heat-treating this composite body in the oxidizing atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of oxide, nitrate, carbonate, and acetate or an oxide superconductor having superconductivity by the heat treatment in the oxidizing atmosphere is molded to obtain a molded body 6. A porous conductor layer 7 is covered on this molded body 6 to form a composite body, and this composite body is heat-treated in the oxidizing atmosphere. Since the porous conductor layer 7 is used, oxygen is sufficiently fed through holes during the heat treatment in the oxidizing atmosphere, thus the oxidation of mixed powder proceeds thoroughly. An oxide superconducting wire with the critical temperature higher than before and excellent superconductivity can be thereby obtained.
