Abstract
PURPOSE:To continuously form a lengthy wire by filling the raw material powder or superconductor powder in grooves of a core wire formed with the grooves extending in the longitudinal direction on the outer periphery, coating a metal material on this core wire to form a composite body, then heat-treating it. CONSTITUTION:A core wire 1 formed with grooves 2 extending in the longitudinal direction on the outer periphery is continuously fed in a forming device, the raw powder or the superconductor powder 4 is continuously fed into the grooves 2, and concurrently a metal material 5 is coated on this core wire 1 to form a composite body 6. The heat treatment is applied to the composite body 6, the powder filled in the grooves 2 is formed into oxide superconductors 13, or the crystal structure of the superconductors 13 made of the superconductor powder is stabilized to obtain a superconducting wire 14. When the lengthy core wire 1 is prepared, the lengthy superconducting wire 14 arranged with the superconductors 13 in the grooves 2 can be continuously produced.
