Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to control the oxygen content which is effective for a superconductive sintered substance when it is sintered, and to obtain a long size material of an excellent superconductivity by forming a cylindrical body to accomodate a superconductive sintered substance with Ag. CONSTITUTION:An outer tube made of a metal which surrounds a long size composite oxide type superconductive material along the whole length is formed of Ag. Such a superconductive composite has at least one closed section, and the material powder of the composite oxide type superconductive material is stored in the tube body formed of Ag and sintered. As the material powder, an oxide powder containing the elements to compose the composite oxide, a carbonate powder, and the mixture of them, or the sintered substance powder of them is used. The firing can be carried out in the condition same as that for the sintering. The tube body storing the material powder is processed to reduce the diameter in a wiredrawing process or the like prior to the sintering, but the wiredrawing process can be carried out together with the sintering at the same time.
