Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a high theoretical density ratio so as to attempt securing high critical current values by synthetically baking superconducting ceramics in R-A-Cu-O series while being filled so as to be sealed within a metallic case, and continuously processing the hot isostatic press (HIP) treatment of said metallic case for forming a clad body. CONSTITUTION:Let R2O3 powder, AO powder and CuO powder as source powder be prepared, either of which has a specified mean particle diameter, let these powder be blended into respective specified compositions so as to be mixed thereafter, they are filled into a cylindrical case made of Ag with a filling rate of 50% maintained so as to be sealed in a vacuum. Then, the metallic case is baked under a condition that heating is maintained at a specified temperature in atmosphere, thereby letting oxidizing mixed powder in the metallic case be synthesized into superconducting ceramics. Then, the aforesaid ceramics is put into an ordinary HIP device continuously so as to let HIP treatment be processed under a specified condition for forming a clad body having a specified theoretical density ratio. In the second place, the clad body is repeatedly cold-finished by both swaging and groove rolling respectively so as to be a wire, thereby completing the forming with a specified stress relieve annealing processed.
