CONSTITUTION:In the manufacture of an oxide superconductive wire material of a general formula A-B-Cu-O (where A is one or more of the periodic table group IIIa elements such as Y, Sc, La, Yb, Er, Eu, Ho, and Dy, and B is one or more of the periodic table group IIa elements such as Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, and Ba), a copper coverage layer consisting of pure copper is formed on the surface of a core material consisting of a copper alloy including a deoxidizer of copper. Then at the outer surface of the copper coverage layer, a mixing material layer is formed to produce a laminate material. This mixing material layer includes A element and B element in a specific ratio.
