Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a tape with satisfactory electrical characteristics, mechanical characteristics and thermal properties, by mixing laminated mica paper mixed with a polymeric fibrid and the polymeric fibrid with a laminated mica flake followed by integration with a reinforcer by fusion bonding.
CONSTITUTION: In preparing a laminated mica tape for electrical insulation consisting of laminated mica paper alone or the laminated mica tape and a reinforcer, a polymeric fibrid consisting of polyacrylonitrle, polyester, arom. polyacrylonitrile, polyester, arom. polyamide or polyvinyl acetal is homogeneously mixed with the laminated mica paper and subjected to a hot calendering. The resulting laminated mica paper and the polymeric fibrid are homogeneously mixed with the laminated mica flake and then integrated with a reinforcer by fusion bonding. Said laminated mica flake has a flake length of 2W15mm and thickness of 0.1W30μm.
