Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate lag in rising of potential acceptance and to reduce change of residual potential even after repeated cycles of charging and exposure by forming an undercoat layer composed essentially of calcium boride or aluminum boride between a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is formed by successively laminating on the conductive substrate the undercoat layer containing calcium boride, preferably, such as calcium hexaboride (CaB6) or aluminum boride, preferably, such as aluminum diboride (AlB2) or aluminum dodecaboride (AlB12), and preferably, a binder resin, and an electric charge generating layer, and a charge transfer layer, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive body to be not lagged in rising of acceptance potential even after repeated uses and to be reduced in change of residual potential.
