Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent dissolution of the binder resin of an electric charge transfer layer due to a solvent used for forming a charge generating layer and to enhance sensitivity of a photosensitive body by forming the charge transfer layer composed of the 2 layers of the lower layer using the binder resin lower in molecular weight and the upper layer using that higher in molecular weight. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is formed by successively laminating on a conductive substrate 1 made of Al or the like, the transfer layer 2 composed of the first charge transfer layers 21 using the binder resin having lower molecular weight, preferably, <=100,000, and the second layer 22 using the binder resin having higher molecular weight, preferably, >=100,000, and the charge generating layer 3, and a surface covering layer 4, thus permitting the underlying layer 2 not to be dissolved by the solvent to be used for coating the layer 2 with the layer 3 at the time of forming the layer 3, accordingly, the layer 3 to be well formed and sensitivity to be made higher than that in the case of forming the single charge transfer layer.
