Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and potential stability by forming an electric charge transfer layer obtained by dissolving each of a charge transfer material capable of transferring positive holes and a binder made of a thermosetting resin in each other. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body 5 is formed by successively laminating on a conductive supporting body 1 the charge transfer layer 2 and a charge generating layer 3, and the layer 2 is formed by dissolving each of the charge transfer material for transferring positive holes and the binder resin of the thermosetting resin having reactive functional group on the main chain or side chains of the polymer, such as polyester, polyamide, polyvinyl butyral, melamine, silicone, epoxy, or urethane, and this resin is enhanced in solvent resistance by heating it to form cross-linking structure between the polymer molecule, thus permitting sensitivity and acceptance potential to be enhanced.
