Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a photoreceptor superior in charging characteristics without providing a barrier layer by incorporating Al2O3 particulates with the charge generating layer of the photoreceptor.
CONSTITUTION: A charge generating layer (a) of 0.05W10μ thickness consisting of a charge generating agent (cadmium sulfide, Sudan Red, or the like), Al2O3 particulates (preferably, not more than about 1μ particle diameter), and a binder (polyethylene, polyester, or the like), a 5W30μ thick charge transfer layer (b) consisting of a charge transfer agent (maleic anhydride, hexamethylenediamine, or the like) and a binder are successively laminated on the electroconductive substrate to form a photoreceptor. The amount of the above Al2O3 used is preferably 1W25wt% based on the charge generating agent.
