Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body small in change of residual potential after repeated uses by incorporating ferric oxide in an undercoat layer. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is obtained by successively laminating on a conductive substrate the undercoat layer containing the ferric oxide and a binder resin, such as a thermoplastic resin, i.e., polyamide, polyester, and a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, and a thermosetting resin obtained by thermopolymerizing a compound having plural active hydrogen atoms and a compound having plural isocyanate groups and/or a compound having plural epoxy groups, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive body to be high in sensitivity and small in change of residual potential.
