Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body extremely small in dark decay of charged potential by exercising boiling pure water treatment or superheated steam treatment on an aluminum substrate to be used for a photosensitive body before anode oxidation treatment. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is obtained by forming a photosensitive layer 4 made of amorphous silicon on the aluminum substrate 1 having a hydrated oxide film 2 and an anodized film 3 obtained by excercising the boiling pure water treatment or superheated steam treatment and then, anodizing the aluminum substrate. When the aluminum substrate is subjected to the boiling pure water treatment or the superheated steam treatment before the anodizing treatment, an electric quantity necessary to be applied from the exterior is reduced, and the insulating properly of the film is enhanced.
