Abstract

PURPOSE: To render a receptor highly sensitive even to light in a longer wavelength region by forming a photosensitive layer consisting of a charge retentive layer made of Se-Te alloy and a surface layer made of Se-Te alloy on an electrically conductive substrate with an interfacial layer in-between.
CONSTITUTION: Interfacial layer 2 made of aluminum oxide, etc. is formed on electrically conductive substrate 1 such as cylindrical Al substrate by nitric acid treatment or other method. ≥30μm thick charge retentive layer 3 made of Se-Te alloy contg. 5W15wt% Te and 3W10μm thick surface layer 4 made of Se-Te alloy contg. more than once as much Te as Te in layer 3, preferably about 17W20wt% Te are formed in this order by vacuum deposition.
