Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the crystallization of selenium and to enhance the printing resistance without using a protective polymer film by forming a surface layer contg. much tellurium. CONSTITUTION:The hardness of a vapor-deposited Se-Te alloy layer is increased as the Te concn. is made higher, yet higher Te concn. results in remarkable temp. dependency of the sensitive layer, and the layer is not applicable to an electrophotographic receptor. So by raising the Te concn. of a surface layer alone having 3- 15mum thickness out of the sensitive layer having about 60mum total thickness, the surface hardness is increased to enhance the printing resistance. The preferred surface Te concn. is 7-25wt%.
