Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve electrical characteristics and durability by forming an oxide film through anodic oxidation of an aluminum late and filling the recesses of the film with resin thereby forming the image holding member for electrophotography.
CONSTITUTION: After an electrode voltage is set at about 100 to 700V, Al is first anodized in a strong acid such as sulfuric acid or phosphoric acid, following to which it is anodized in a weak acid such as oxalic acid or boric acid to form a porous oxide film of about 3 to 5μ on the Al, thence a resin solution such as of melamine resin, silicone resin or other is filled in the recessed (pores) of the abovementioned oxide film and the excess resin solution is revoved; thereafter the resin is set by heating.
