Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture the aluminum support substance for a presensitized (PS) plate which can obtain the PS plate being excellent in a developing property, by a method wherein a cathode-cleansing treatment is effected in an acid water solution before an anodic oxidation treatment takes place.
CONSTITUTION: An aluminum plate, whose surface is sand blasted, is alkalietching- treated and desumutting-treated, and is then cathode-cleansing-treated in an acid water solution (a water solution of nitric acid, phosphoric acid, and the like is preferable), whose concentration is 10W40wt%, at a temperature of 40°C or more. (At that time, a preferable current density is about 5W100A/dm2, and a desirable treating time is about 3W300 seconds). Subsequently, said surface is anodic- oxidated to form an anodic oxidation film on a surface thereof, and thus, a subject support substance can be obtained.
