Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce NO- 3 contained in solid by-product recovered in the process described in the title to NO- 2 by addition of powder of Zr or Al to the byproduct after it is dissolved in water, and to reduce the NO- 2 formed to N2 by further addition of sulfamic acid (sulfamate).
