Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce residual potential of a photosensitive body due to repeat uses and to prevent moire due to coherent light by forming a film on the surface of a conductive substrate by chemical treatment. CONSTITUTION:The layer 12 is formed on the surface of the conductive substrate 11 by the chemical treatment, and a photosensitive layer 14 is formed on the film 12, and the substrate 11 is formed by vapor depositing a sheet of paper or plastics or by using a plate of aluminum or its alloy, or forming a crude pipe by extruding or drawing aluminum or its alloy or the like technique to form a crude pipe and surface treating it, thus permitting increase of residual potential after repeated uses of the photosensitive body to be suppressed and moire occurring at the time of imagewise exposure to the coherent light to be prevented.
