Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide high sensitivity over a wide wavelength region, and improve durability, etc. by providing an electric charge generating layer on a conductive substrate by using epsilon type copper phthalocyanine, and providing an electric charge carrier layer thereon by using trinitrofluorenone (TNF). CONSTITUTION:A layer of epsilon type copper phthalocyanine is formed at 0.5-5mu thicknesses on a conductive substrate, whereby an electric charge generating layer is provided. For said phthalocyanine, a soln. of diethylamine is coated and dried, or the soln. prepd. by compounding >=4pts.wt. resin based on said phthalocyanine 1pt.wt. is coated and dried to form the charge generating layer. Next, an electric charge carrier layer contg. 0.8-3pts.wt. a binder based on 1pt.wt. trinitro-9- fluorene or the like is laminated to 8-30mu thicknesses, whereby a composite type electrophotographic plate is obtained. This plate has high sensitivity in a 500- 825nm range, and has high rigidity and flexibility and improved durability.
