Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a harmonious distinct image by nearly equalizing the amount of magnetic particles contained in a developer in a front chamber to the amount of magnetic particles carried on the outer peripheral surface of a developer carrier. CONSTITUTION:A developing sleeve 2 is put in the front chamber 12 of a developing container 8 while the part of its development area protruded from an opening part 9 toward a photosensitive drum 1, and the developer 7 which contains carriers 5 is stored. Then the storage amount M2 of the carriers 5 is nearly equal to the amount M1 of carriers 5 carried on the outer peripheral surface of the developing sleeve 2 entirely and uniformly while toner 6 is stuck, and the amount M1 of the carriers 5 is set to a prescribed value in consideration of the magnetic force of a magnet 4. Consequently, the toner 6 is moved to the image area of the photosensitive drum 1 to preclude an irregularity in image density and ground fogging.
